SF x Tekken PC update?

It’s pretty ridiculous that Capcom can’t even get something as simple as this right.

As of now I have successfully downloaded every freebie available in the store. Got to enjoy those colors. :smiley:

i wonder if you get credit for the costumes and gems if you have the 360 version…? I doubt it, but its a thought.

No idea, but considering that your GFWL ID is also your XBox Live ID there is a slight possibility that purchasing costumes in the XBox would also net you the PC costumes. But this is CAPCOM, and they always see us as cows they can milk.

That wouldn’t just be a Capcom thing. Technically I should be able to do that with any Xbox 360 game thats also on PC but most probably don’t work that way.

At least now we know why they chose to lock the content on the disc…

So…I haven’t played since the patch, it’s been quite a while and I’m thinking of trying the game out again, see how the lag goes.

With that said, when it comes to Europe, can anyone give me a brief summary of the playerbase right now? Is it still mostly Russians or did the community here actually develop into something?

The online in europe has almost developed into a corpse. I can barely find anyone nowadays.
Finding a playable connection is even harder.

Yeah not so many people online nowadays, 50%+ Russians, some of them with horrible connections but most are ok.

It’s still very difficult to find someone outside of Europe online in SFxTK, I guess.

I did have a couple good matches as well last night, but it was still largely hit or miss. :frowning:

I must say I was really into the game and was waiting with hype for the release.
but after the initial lag problems and the unsatisfying patch I went back to AE and ggpo/supercade. It’s not that I can say that sfxt is a bad game, I haven’t played it very much actually. but without a solid netplay it’s just too frustrating when I can play fighting games at the same time which are working flawressly.
the next game I’m waiting for is skullgirls for pc. really lost all hope by now for a sfxt netcode fix.

SFXT PC Netcode works great for me when I do what I can to reduce lag on my end(repower modem, no wireless)

Also If my bad connection opponent repowers modem and comes back for another game, I notice MUCH smoother play.

I’m just gonna add some stuff, The whole argument about It being Hardware or Internet is starting to rag on me…

first off though, I hope the patch comes soon, netcode fix or not I’d much rather have some of the things fixed, and maybe some new characters been added, with that said.

Be it Netcode, or be it just shitty connection issues, this game has a problem. It’s quite annoying for people to say how it’s the Hardware, and how It’s your internet connection when out of, oh I don’t know, maybe the thousands of games we all play online, on a daily basis, and we have no lag, that it’s our PC’s or Internet that is causing this.
As a point, Open AE and SFxT at the same time, both windowed mode (if your PC can handle it) and join a match with a friend, and you can just test the difference even While playing both at the same time… I mainly only play against my friend on AE and He lives in england, Me in portugal, and between us there’s barley any lag. Then we load up on SFxT, and this is where the Madness starts.

From most of the testing we’ve done, We know 1 thing for certain, Alt-tabbing causes you to spike for the other player, feel free to try it out, It looks a lot different from standard lag as the player who alt-tabbed will pretty much skip frames all the time. I.E If he walks forward, you’ll just see him “teleport” forward around 1/2 steps. If he jumps, you’ll see him on the ground 1 second, and the next in mid air falling on you. It’s quite a weird bug, and As far as I can tell it doesn’t happen in AE.

The actual Lag part of SFxT is hard to understand, The whole “Reset your modems and there’s no lag” is just bull. It’s fine to restart it once in a while, sometimes that helps out your lag. But if you’re playing fine on other games, I see no reason why SFxT’s lag is different. So the whole restart your modem and it’s fine crap isn’t a solution.

Lag in SFxT seems completely random to me, If you try it for a good 30/40 minutes with a friend, just constantly making matches with each hosting. And so far i can find a few repeat things that happen

1-I have lag, He doesn’t. I.E the Teleporty, I hit you twice and suddenly I’m on the floor because he combo’d me kind of lag. This will last the full duration of the fight.

2-I start with lag but it evens out after the first round, I have no idea why this happens but usually after this any game hosted by the previous host has no lag between us.

3-I have no lag, He does, pretty much the reverse of 1.

4-We both have a slight delay on things, this starts to get quite annoying as you can’t block on wake up. For some apparent reason it just won’t block even if you hold it. And combos that require a timed hit to juggle rarely hit.

These 4 usually appear over the course of the game, with the 2nd being the best one for endless lobbies sake. If you logout of GFWL and log back in, It starts all over again. It’s like playing Russian roulette with the Lag.

These 4 seem to be most of the 1v1 problems, and usually aint to bad. But this game just falls apart in any Team type game mode. I regularly play with my friend on ranked, And in any 2v1 environment the game seems to favor the single player having no lag, while the team suffer equal lag. And in 2v2 it’s just a lag fest…

I really can’t see how most of these problems are a Hardware problem. Playing a guy from Russia, or a guy who lives next to my friend in England yield more or less the same results in terms of Lag, and the fact that if we play on a team makes us more prone to having lag is just retarded…

So there… that’s my “venting” on this subject… It’s just annoying for people who haven’t tried, or even played the Pc version to just chalk it up to PC issues. I’m sorry but SFxT doesn’t compare to the likes of BF3 when it comes down to Hardware needed to run it.

Now I’m just waiting for this patch to come out, see if it fixes any of the issues. I know it wont, but might aswell hope.

Is there news about when the pc patch 1.05 to come out?

I don’t think there’s been any “official” release date for it, but if the characters are supposed to come to the PC in September, then I’d guess that 1.05 would be coming at the end of this month at least. That’s just a guess though.

Ugh, what blows me away is that I fought a dude from US yesterday…that’s 6000+ km away. And the connection was stable, fast, almost perfect (over the span of 15+ matches). How can the netcode manage that, if domestic connections suck ass? :smiley:

sounds like you had a good connection and so did he, which means its the connection and not the netcode itself.
