this is unbelievable. when i log on to go.for.broke I get a crap load of Spyware/Adware/Malware including a BHO. Whoever is doing this better not be from SRK.
I reccommend everyone who uses DC to get Hijackthis, Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and WinPatrol.
Combined it doesn’t take long to get rid of everything but such a pain that you have to in the first place.

DC doesnt carry any spyare/malware. Its probably the sites your visiting. Anyways you should be using those programs regardless just to check up, along with a good pop up blocker like google toolbar or something…
Actually, I can confirm for you that DC pops up ad windows, and many of those ad windows are off-screen created windows that try to download malicious software/spyware such as Gator. I’m on XPSP2, and it doesn’t let you completely hide browser windows for that very reason, so I often go look at their source to try to figure out what they were up to. Pretty nasty.

I know that DC++ doesn’t carry any malware of any kind (www.dcplusplus.com) If you’re still using the Neo-Modus client, uninstall that crap and get a real program. DC++ allows multiple hub connections, is faster, has file hashing, MUCH better search capabilities, no ads, etc.

ok Doc, i’ll look into that, and see what I can make of it. I think its possible to have more than one tracker imbedded in a bt file. This would add more stability for people trying to dl.

when you make the torrent file with “completedir” as you can see there is only one slot for an announcement aka the place where your tracker; i.e (Orginal torrent file with be placed) via GFB-BT or another source. then ANYBODY with the orginal file and the torrent file can start as the seed. This is done when u open the torrent file (note: in the same directory as the Orginal File) and its will ask you to browse the Orginal File. then it will check the file and you leave that BT up(DO NOT CLOSE IT). Then peeps download the Torrent File from your site or whereever. and the open it. it will ask them to save “Bang’nConsole.wmv” they click save and they begin there downloads. The you will notice that on the BT client you left open your KB/S for Upload will increase showiung you ow fast your rate and how much you have uploaded. Leave the BT file on for a long time and i am sure others will too. 1-3 days BT file is spread throught its viewers.

Bang’n The Console was down for about 28 hours, but its back up now on my site www.obot64.com/media. I found a better free tracker, and the file is now constantly seeded from a linux box that rest on a t1 line. Thanks to RoutedToNull for hosting the file. You must get the new bt file from my site to resume dl’ing
Any chance us Linux users can get an .mpg encode of Bag’n the Console? Linux still doesn’t have support for Windows Video 9 yet.

!(_)! , Well if i had a program to turn wma into any other format i would! But what i do have are the original files that i ued to make the file. bad thing is they are mpeg1 which is like no compression at all. 
you want those? take you a long time to get them…
Ugh, yeah that would be huge. I know a few good mpeg2 encoders are ffmpeg and TMPGenc. Don’t know if that will help you or not, but thanks anyways.
