So I got this stick but I’ve read that the buttons and the stick are upgradeable and very recommended isn’t it?
So I was wondering what parts I should get. And is it easy too install the new parts?
Would appreciate some help here and some URL’s to some stores with some solid and good parts.
I want a good Bat stick. I’m used too the buttons that are alerady on the stick, but I’ve heard JAP buttons are better. Is that true? I hear these don’t “click” and make less noise.
Yes it is quite easy, just a matter of removing the stock parts and putting the new ones in place of them. The most complicated it gets, is you’ll have to cut & strip wire, and crimp on new quick disconnects to fit the happ parts. Easy stuff.
FYI, you don’t need to get that tiny girl wrench, or even go through the bullshit steps in that tutorial to get the base of the stick off. It is very easy to just remove the plexi glass and get at the screws from the top of the case.
Getting differnet colors though. These parts should fit right? It’s Happ Competition Pushbutton with Horizontal Microswitch and Happ 8-Way Competition Joystick.
Be careful to note what wires go to which, it is pretty simple but at first appears a bit confusing. There will be two wires per button. One to give power to it, and one to control the button.
The quick disconnects on the original buttons are too small to fit the Happs, they’ll need to be cut off, strip the wires, and put on 1.187" QDs.
The stick wire’s QDs however are the proper size to fit a happ competition so no need to change them.
Yeah those are good. You got 8 new buttons right?
He might get lucky like me and have a stock stick that comes out easy, without having to take off the plexi and stuff.
Allright well thanks alot. That was really cool. Ordering now =)
If I blow up my stick or something I\'ll ask for more help in this thread later.
+Karma!
Edit:
Oh just wondering. What parts are on the stick already? Why are they so bad? Will I feel a big difference? I will buy new parts anyways I am just wondering. I’ve been playing with these parts for 6 months now but I’ve never even touched any other “good” sticks so I don’t have anything too compare with.
