juri ultra 2 beats seth u2 ?
of all ultras grrr…
anyone have a list of other ultras thats evade ( like ken u2) or beat seth u2 ?

Depends on who activates first. Usually in most cases, the one who activates first, loses.

His Ultra 2 only has 12 frames of invincibility. It does still have projectile invincibility though. You are better off using it in a combo or in a guaranteed chip damage setup.

i see i did use it first i was trying to chip her after an spd
edit: cr.mk into legs randomly doesnt connect anyone know why?
and im not input anything slow im canceling but online it sometimes does that

The trick is to have the blockstun from the tanden engine overlap with the U2. Hence why Juri couldn’t jump out. She can’t do anything once she blocks the tanden engine. This setup is really old and kind of universal. The difference is timing the sonic boom for different wake up timings. Can be jumped out of after blocking the sonic boom.

I don’t use U2 at all. Against anyone. No point.

I like Ultra 2 vs Vipers. Stops all burn kick pressure on your wake up, but I don’t like it in any other match up tbh

I’m having trouble doing Seths shoryu cancel into headstomp, anybody have tips on practicing or executing the move.

Are you talking about shoryu FADC stomps? Since the AE headstomp nerf, the timings are character-specific. Try waiting for them to fall more before doing the stomps. You need to recognize the spacing, what character you’re fighting, and whether you’re behind or in front of them.

Characters that it is exceptionally hard to do at point blank: Adon, Cody, Dudley

Characters that are easier: Cammy, Rose, Zangief, shotos.

Lots of people only do 2 stomps -> divekick for consistency.

Yea the FADC stomps, you answered my question. I got another one though, since the headstomp is nerfed, what toher combos can i perform of a cancelled shoryu?

The only other options worth mentioning are DP FADC U2 (ew) and DP FADC EX Tanden. DP FADC EX Tanden is really hard if you end up crossing them up, but it works and you get a full combo off of it.

Seriously you still should be doing stomps, it’s just harder now. Getting two consistently is straightforwards with experience.

Awesome!, thanks big help.

Hopefully this helps. Just click on whatever character you want to learn to timing for stomps. A brief description for each is there too.

short and simple: what the fuck?

SHORTJUMP - ???
give pls

82MK_GROUND (Headstomp landing?)
I guess this actually has 6 landing frames.
No wonder I never figured out a decent safe jump with it.

82MK_JUMP (Headstomp after wall jump?)
Apparently you fall faster doing head stomps after doing a wall jump…

82HP - ???
82HP_GROUND - ???
Uhh. Whatever it is, it has a whopping 18 frames of recovery when landing. I’m guessing it was Seth’s limbs changed before they decided to just remove it completely.

WALL_JUMP_OLD (Wall jump)
WALL_JUMP (Wall jump)
Except there is literally no change in either entry. They are 100% identical outside of engine identification. Shit, the Super entry is exactly the same too.

SCREW_L, SCREW_M, SCREW_EX (LP SPD, MP SPD, EX SPD)
Apparently they don’t actually last the full recovery animation frames (can interrupt animation f53/f57/f53 respectively.)

TEREPO_x (All Teleports)
Exactly the same when it comes to total frames and invincibility. And…Super/AE/2012 entries are all identical. Yep, no teleport buff…guess we just got better at timing the teleports (Wiki frame data is off for all versions though, I think.)
Oh, but the boss version has entries made just for him in all three versions so he gets to cancel his teleport 9 frames earlier. ha

SHORYU_LG, SHORYU_MG, SHORYU_HG, SHORYU_EXG - ???
Entries exist for all DP hits, so I dunno what these are. Maybe recovery frames (guess they’re different from just landing after going in the air…?)

100RETU_EX (EX Hyakuretsukyaku)
Not throw invincible until it hits (but all of them are at that point anyway…) Speaking of which, you can no longer be knocked out of Hyakuretsukyaku (full invinciblity once it hits.) In Vanilla, you got some weird things because the opponent got locked in place when it traded or you got hit by a delayed/slow fireball. In Super, you just got knocked out of it and got nothing else…so now you’re guaranteed to get the hit.

SC_TANDEN… (2012 Super values)
SC_STORM… (AE Super values)
UC_…(Ultra 1 values)
Make no sense at all. Imagine that.

UC_TYPHOON, UC_TYPHOON_OLD
"Lowered recovery." The fuck they did. Only differences between entries:
INVINC **New **(HIT, THROW, PROJECTILE:0-207, PROJECTILE:207-342) Old (HIT, THROW, PROJECTILE:0-324)
HURTBOX New (Additional hurt box entry during 1-7) Old (only one entry, identical to new value otherwise)
Yes, they actually added a hurt box during the invincibility for some reason…

2MK_
??? seems to be the exact same as 82MK.

8HP_
10 active frames lol.
Guessing this is either the boss version’s j.HP or a Vanilla entry for some reason.

92HK_BOSS (Dive kick?)
0.7x faster than ours during the initial frames.
:frowning:

SCREW_EX_BOSS (EX SPD)
Throw invincibility added to Hit, Projectile invincibility.
…:(:frowning:

soooo im not sure if the “move attributes” page is current, so im just going to ask here. I dont play seth, but im curious what the frame advantage / disadvantage is like for TE on hit and on block…is it variable, determined by how late in the TE animation you get sucked in ? is it static, where youre always going to be +whatever frames or - whatever frames ?

Also, how fast are his SPDs ?

thanks to whoever feels kinda enough to answer

Frame advantage varies on Tandem because he always pulls you the same distance, and spds are 3 frames

is there any way to gauge if im at frame disadvantage on block ? or am I just supposed to guess and if it works out, great, if it doesnt, its mixup time

The way I personally do it is by just knowing spacing

Max lp tanden is even/down-ish. Anything past that, you’re -4 on block.

thank you sir
