I’m pretty sure it’s because you can’t reverse edge teleports, this is why when you’re mashing backwards KKK tele on wake-up you usually end up getting EX Hyakaretsu.

Ppp leaves you st 0 and kkk teleport leaves you -2 on most? Learned something new thought it was the other way around… Also who does it leave you more then -2 on?

then I cant really understand why pros when they make rival dizzy,use FA lvl3+ tanden engine and start combo. I always thought that it somehow increase damage or reset scaling etc.

Free meter and easier timing.

tandem engine after focus crumple also makes certain combos possible on certain characters. even ones as simple as c.HP xx LP SRK -> stomps+dive kick, your stomps may whiff on some characters if you don’t tandem engine first. To get even more annoying, some characters can only be stomped on after 2 hits of LP SRK

As a noob playing seth I have a few questions that i hope you could answer. I’m sorry if this is a bit too much.

  1. What should I do at footsies range? Including outside of of DP range? I’m finding that people Jump-in when I do tandem engine and eat a combo. Sometimes jumping in results in anti air & dashing in I end up getting hit by a poke. I know these mindgames are part of SF but I have a hard time getting inside.

  2. Also aside from option select how do I punish back dashes particularly in a blockstring. Is empty jump in tandem a viable option or too risky?

  3. When is the best time to use cst.HP as a ant air? I notice whiffing results in long arms. What is the timing required to use st.MP as a anti air?

  4. What is the best neutral jump attack on a standing/crouching opponent? HK seems to whiff even at point blank. Whats the point of Neutral Jumping MK?

I can confirm that both KKK & PPP Teleport are at worst even frames after Hyakaretsu.

Tested on every 0 Frame, 1 Frame & 2 Frame reversal in the game.

Can you guys tell me the exact input for the H. Srk FADC option select please ?

Be aware that now Seth is at a frame disadvantage unless you use EX SRK.

I know that much but wheres exactley is the dash after the FA and the 3th hit of the srk ? I really need the full input :stuck_out_tongue: thanks tho

If the opponent blocks, then you need to dash out of it. If he doesn’t block, just do another SRK.

As far as I know that’s the end of the OS. By then you should have enough time to react anyway. You’re better off dashing backward if you’re using :hp:

Does anyone know what frame advantage/disadvantage you have after Hyakuretsu, teleport? I think I saw somewhere that we’re +0, but I’ve also been told that against certain chars we’re at a frame disadvantage. Do some chars have a faster recovery time?

Being even is kind of lame when your fastest low attack is 5 frames.

Depends entirely on meter really… nothing lame when you’re Seth & you’ve got meter & you’re opponent is near stun & they’ve gotta guess left & right & what to do. (Well, they can probably react left or right, but every little helps)

yeah it’d be kind of contrary to Seth’s design to teleport at a player after legs and then be able to try something safe. If you’re going for safety, throw a sonic boom or just dash in, or wait and see if they tech their knockdown, as this can give you a safe wall jump opportunity.

except that’s basically what he could do in vanilla

sat down with teleports a bit, they’re identical now frame data wise, pretty sure adon/yun/yang aren’t 0 (but…got lazy, so not 100% sure.)

let’s not mention vanilla. Seth is unrecognizably different comparing Vanilla and AE versions. I prefer the AE version anyway, despite all the nerfs.

Are there any simple setups for when an opponent intentionally doesn’t quickstand. It always screws up my timing for my mixups thanks

After Hyakaretsu, if you know they won’t quickstand you can easily set up the sonic boom teleport trick, same as after Ultra 1.

After DP’s, none that i know of.
