Hey people i just want to know if jump kicks are always safe? ie look at this vid at 4,16 i think he delayed the jump kick as soon as he touched the floor to make it safe. right? so delay the jump kick until the last sec, then it will become safe all the time ??
No, Yang’s DP has a 5 frame startup. Characters with 3 and 4 frame DPs can hit you out of safe-jump setups.
AAAAAHH, Wakateru, arigatou, but can u tell me which chars have them and which dont if thats too much to ask.
Off the top of my head I know that Ryu, Evil Ryu, Akuma, & Oni have 3 frame reversals and Ken, Guile, & DeeJay (EX only) have 4 frame reversals.

^^I’m pretty sure he’s talking about a well angled Demon Flip -> Dive Kick/ (EX) Canon Strike in that, if they do an SRK they go under you.^^
Damn, i remember the days Akuma had instant recovery on his Demon Flip throws… the greatest safe jump in existence.
You could also jump at a range where the first frame of the dp won’t connect.
I’ve edited Seth’s bcm and bca files a bit and replaced Seth’s player moves with boss Seth’s moves. There are 4 moves apparently, vanilla teleports (super fast with no delay after performing them), 8HP ( Dhalsim-like one probably), Dive kick which is much faster ( probably vanilla one), and also Ex SPD. I haven’t noticed anything special in boss EX SPD though, maybe someone knows what does it have over player’s EX SPD ? More invincibility or faster start up ?
wat is the best punish for back jump,other then u1 and far feirce,like balrog jump back fierce or HK,really its annoying when they jump back to a safe distance out of seth’s mixup range,yes you can tandem engine to pull them again but frame advantage wont be the same.
Depends on what happens, where you’re at, and what character you’re playing against.
Follow them into the air with j.MP, head stomp (x3), Dive kick.
EX Tanden, BnB.
MP/HP Tanden, cr.LP into whatever or LP / EX SPD.
Dash forward, cr.HP into whatever.

It’s a suit torn off to reveal his Tanden Engine. Yeah, Seth has some shitty costumes.
I see the term “frame trap” being thrown around loosely a lot when it has to do with SSF4. I think it has something to do with baiting reversals, but that’s all I know. Could someone clear this up for me? Much appreciated.

Tanden Engine can be cancelled into off cr.mp, s.hp, cr.hp, or cr.mk for a blockstring but you can be hit out of it on startup. You can anti-air with it sometimes. It is a good meaty because it catches backdashes.
Also, Seth with pants is a tier higher than Seth without pants.
i got a friend that plays e.ryu and he always beats me by being across the stage spamming hadukens and wen i wall jump and dive in he dps me all the time. there are times where i get close to him but the majority of the match is like tht even wen hes still in the middle of hadukening he still hits me wit a dp. how do i beat this match up
Something of a problem for seth with all fireball zoning characters right now. It is something you can deal with though:

if they’re being very predictable, jump back a lot. eventually, pick a time to wall jump and get a nice clean punish with j.HK, cst.HP xx HP DP / HK Legs into mix ups.

if they’re not being predictable, try to react to the sound or animation of the fireball and EX Hyakuretsu through it at mid-screen.

Tanden Engine them in if they aren’t being predictable. Messes up their spacing and brings them closer to you.

j.MK and hold towards them and you can slowly move in. Walk and block otherwise. Usually the option you have to fall back on.
Basically, bully them into a corner so they can’t.
