Best part was at the end with Seth talking about lower tier characters or unexpected characters being in the top 8 (i.e. Adon and Zangief) and Sessler interrupts him and repeats the exact same thing like he just had an epiphany. And Seth just said “thats exacting what I’m trying to say” LMAO
Because G4 helped sponsor Evo and had alot of live coverage, it was probably in the deal to have sesler commentating for the top 8 of SSF4. I dont mind the fact sesler was on the mic, but a BIG shame on him for not doing his homework. He sounded like he has never played to game, didnt know the players, or how the freaking tournament was ran. As a professional, he should have done his research and known SOMETHING before getting on the mic.
This years Evo was probably 10 steps forward for fighting game esports, but sesler on the mic was 1 step back.

That’s really the issue, he phoned it in. The fact that someone like Adam Sessler gets to phone anything in is a sad reflection on life.
They’re bad in equal but opposite ways. Nick pretends to know things and ends up just narrating exactly what’s on screen and preventing better people from talking with his awkward stutter whereas Sessler truly has no clue but feels like he has to say things anyway because he’s getting paid for this.
Was about to post, but this is pretty much what I had to say. It really really baffles me that he was allowed to commentate the main attraction of the weekend. I was litterally stunned when he repeated the exact same thing as Seth at the end of the stream. Clearly lost. All I hope is that lessons have been learned through this year’s event and stuff like this can be avoided in the future. But I always appreciate the work put into making Evo happen. The stream may have been full of disappointments, but I am glad I was able to see some of it live. Thanks.

Just wanted to agree with this. Really happy that I got to watch it, really appreciate how hard everyone worked on it, appreciate the level of play, everything. Kudos for all of it. But damn, Sessler was pretty much the stain on what was otherwise a very great event for me.

I did a lot of facepalms when this guy was talking, but I laughed quite a bit when he would say something really stupid, and S-Kill would just sit in silence. LOL
