Siitch, currently this is the first guarenteed qualifier. The person who wins this is guarenteed the spot. The others are wildcard except Montreal

So I’ve just confirmed that I might not be able to make it to the P4U tourney on the 1st. I need to move Saturday morning and may not have time to make it to A&C Games afterwards. :frowning:

Most of the other Waterloo players are also moving, so I’m not sure how many others will be able to show up. Except Ryan Ken, who should definitely be able to bus there and enter.

Ryan Ken is notable for beating the first 5 players on Team America in an informal Canada vs America 10v10 at Summer Jam. He also beat LordKnight, one of the best P4U players on the East Coast, TWICE in the teams tourney on Sunday. He’s not a very experienced tournament player yet but he definitely left his mark on America last weekend.

Other cool Summer Jam stuff:

  • The top 3 Canadian placers in singles were MadScientist (5th), Yucorp (7th), and myself (9th).
  • Our two Waterloo teams came 2nd and 4th in teams.

Unfortunately, I think I’m gonna have to backpedal on the top-3 thing 'cause even if we can all show up, I don’t think the other guys will want me betting on them while they’re all sleep dep from moving. It’s my fault for opening my mouth without realizing that people might have to move around August 31st / September 1st and might not even be able to show up. =/

Either way, I hope P4U gets a great turnout and some exciting games! :slight_smile:

I’ll be hosting a CvS2 Side Tournament on the Saturday. $5 entry fee. The tournament will be capped at 16 playes due to time limitations. Hope to see some old and new faces join up for this great game.
