Yes, you can bring your son. It’s perfectly fine if he attends as long as you are there with him. The 18 and up rule is just pretty much in place on the flyer to deter underage people from trying to order alcohol.

Headtap’s brother here (random rose from a year ago), I wont be able to participate as I have class until 3:30. However I WILL try to show up to results (if it goes on that long)

That’s correct and if you are under 18 and are planning on attending I’m pretty sure you will need a responsible adult with you.This is the first tournament we are running at this venue and I want everything to go smoothly. Romine’s does serve alcohol so it is a liability for them to have people under 18 there unsupervised. I hope people can understand and respect this. I will be speaking with the owner tomorrow to get specifics.

I spoke with the owner and if you are under 18 you will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult/guardian. This is not my rule it is the venue’s. Also, for everybody 18+ make sure you have a valid ID. If they ask you for your ID and you don’t have it they will NOT let you into the event.

Matt - Sorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner. I’ll be on site around noonish as well, assuming shit with my grandmother does not hit the fan.
As an FYI for everyone - I’ll be running the brackets similar to how they were run at Chicago Heart 3 (thanks to Humbag), so be prepared. Those not in the know can either refer to the Humbag’s explanation in the CH3 thread or listen to the explanation given prior to the start of the tournament. And I will be one hell of a stickler for reporting matches.
You should post an explanation in here. If I remember correctly you are handed a number correlating to the station you play on. The winner brings the number of the station back and reports the win. Isn’t that the gist of it? People make sure you report your matches when they are finished so everything can run smoothly. This way we don’t have to track you down to find out what happened.

You pretty much have the gist of it.
Each station will be numbered (or lettered and numbered, depending on game being run). When I call names, both people report to me. That way I know that both people have seen each other and have checked in for the match. I hand them an index card matching the station to be played on. They go play their match. Winner brings the card back. That tells me the station is available and who won the match. Saves me the trouble of having to browbeat results out of people because if the index card is not returned, I can just DQ both people.
Not even car troubles can stop the hype!
if mvc3 was bein played on ps3 i would go cuz man its just not worth buying another TE stick just to play at one tourny and theres no garauntee someone eill let me use there stick either it eill already be in use or wat not
There are always extra sticks for people to use. I bring an extra TE to every tournament for this sole purpose.
