why is so much stuff banned for mk9? Is it just easier to have no DLC?
from my understanding they want some people to adjust to the characters and other need patches cuz they cause game breaking glitches but there was a rain player at summer jam so idk. I think that they should let a dlc character be added to tourney play after 2-3months not like thats not enough time to learn what that character is about
Only 3 costumes and two characters are banned out of the total 20~ costumes and 5 side characters.
The three costumes are banned because they revert patch changes to a previous date. IE, MK2 Noob/Smoke and MK3 Cyrax are unnerfed versions of their characters. You can make a case that no GG/GGX/GGX#R character was banned in Slash despite having multiple versions and differences. In the end it’s up to the TO to determine whether or not to ban things or not.
If anything the players will probably soft ban them even if you don’t hard ban them. But I fully expect that if Freddy is playable, Freddy vs Freddy top 8.

i don’t really know if we have all the resources for DLC, but we ll see.
