Kyoku apparently didn’t know that fierce after command throw doesn’t work on Hugo. He had to adjust mid match and even then he thought he was just missing it and tried to go for it one more time. That play against Fuudo was really good. I learned a few things that should help me beat CJ Truth.
I see so many people struggle with Guy. You guys know he CANNOT try you with any of the bushin flip shenanigans right? St. forward beats it clean every time and even if it trades you still get ultra/dp afterwards
What do you mean? I was trying to counter with s.MK but Guy would end up behind me as if he’s looking to bait something out rather than land on me with it. His elbow is so broken.
I suggest trying to low profile it with c.mk or c.lk. Maybe c.hp when you see him flip. Because of the delay of the 2nd hit you won’t have to worry about the timing of the flip.
Well if they are doing that, then you should recover in time to block/challenge on the other side. My point is that you don’t need to low profile the elbow drop since medium kick beats it. I wish I had some matches saved of me playing against our local guy player. He literally tries everything against it only to fail horribly to the same button every time.
Eh, I don’t really try low profiling it. My preference would be AA with s.MK, or walk under and trip guard with c.MK xx slash. But it all has to do with spacing and preparation. I just hate having to “take it” when Guy can do easy bushin-combo/run stop spam pressure for adequate damage.
Great stuff Hero. Very nice Yang play, especially like the “infamous” glitch in the 3rd round of the Fei match.
I’m sure your opponent didn’t appreciate it, fun stuff nonetheless. I see what you were talking about vs Guy. I’ll have to commit
st. mk more to memory in that match.
