Concerning the other two, what was your strategy in those matches?
Play against the computer in arcade mode to work on confirms. You had a lot of stray hits and left quite a bit of damage on the table.
Fixed it. Those stray hits were (apparently) messed up inputs. If you look at the input display its shows that I tried following up my rekkas but for some reason the game didn’t register it. As far as my strategy goes, my main goal was to get the knock down and shift the offense into my favour. Draco’s really good at keeping me out, so when I get in I have to stay in and keep him still via 50/50’s
Push people into the corner. You missed the 3rd slash on a few occasions that would have helped with this.
You can focus Buttslam.
You could have won against Honda but you stranded yourself in the corner.
Against Abel you threw stand RH twice and they connected both times! Play a more footsie oriented match and make Abel walk into your stand RH, stand Strong, and crouch Forward.
This is super tricky if the opponent doesn’t know the trick behind this reset. Like in the video, the followup cl.st.MP comes out as a frame trap if the opponent reacts with footsies, which can set-up command grab mixups once the opponent is too scared to press buttons.
I see. Never saw it before and haven’t read about it so, I thought I’d mention it. Thank you for noting that it’s not Dieminion playing himself… I was wondering how many other characters Dieminion might have up his sleeve since the Yang in the video was on point.
I think it constantly gets brought up cuz there’s always some new Yang players that come every now and again and they’re like OMGLOLWTFBBQ THAT MIXUP IS GODLIKE. It is fun to throw out on people that have never seen it and watching how they react lol.
