Started Judgment back up, in Chapter 6 but had to all kinds of refreshers. From fighting to side missions, friendship missions and story.
Currently doing friendships around town and have my City Reputation at lvl. 21. I hope Ryan Acosta makes is in the new Yakuza. Unlocked this dude and he’s been in good chunk of street brawls and it’s been pretty broken haha. Dude just hits with shurikens and smoke bombs that cause a nice stun effect.
I hope he’s in 7/Like A Dragon
Wait…wasn’t Yakuza 1 dubbed in English??
Mark Hamill was Goro.

Yup. With Mark Hamill as Majima.
I believe it was the only time before now that a mainline Yakuza game was dubbed into English.
You can’t spell ignorant without IGN

The author edited the article to reflect that error…
Just noticed that the mouth movement matches the English dub…cool.

Save data not being transferable sucks. But at least they clarified the smart delivery for both systems

Hoping they pull something out for cross-saves. I wouldn’t mind doing a legendary run and Amon fight on the PS5 after finishing the story on PS4.

Surprised this thread wasn’t more active after Yakuza 7 came out. I just beat the game on Friday after something like 80 hours, more hours than I beat Y0 with. Overall, it was an amazing experience and one of the best Yakuza games to date, although I think Y0 is still the best overall Yakuza game I’ve played so far. Ichiban is a great new main character, and I’m interested where they take the series from here.
How about you, my fellow Yakuzers?

I was posting about it in the VGG thread, and I absolutely loved the game.
The bossfights kicked my ass since I had to take attacks, and mitigation was the name of the game due to it being turn-based. I did do some grinding, but it was more about using the your toolkit than anything else. Once I remembered I had items to boost evasion and defense, it was more manageable.
The last boss fight was awesome, but took my soul. I’ll be doing a new game plus at some point though. The characters, themes and story were great. I had the game beat at 90 hours, but over wrote the save so I’m at 93 hours currently. I enjoy just meandering around and this is no different. I’ll be unlocking all the moves for the jobs I like and for the characters I see fit. I won’t be unlocking everything for every character, since that’ll be redundant for me.
The only complaint I can agree on with the game is the boss fights not feeling as epic as the Kiryu saga because of the team aspect. I loved the callbacks to previous Yakuza titles and Judgment. I marked out several times throughout the game when I saw people and references from them.
The enemies had me cracking up as did their attacks and the name of the attacks. I didn’t unlock the all the substories, but I will on NG+. I’ll also be bonding with Eri in NG+ as well as digging into business managment proper. I thought I was going to go hard in it on the first playthrough, but I had to see what was next.
This, the remastered collection and SOR4 were the highlights for me this year with Animal Crossing and Ghosts of Tsushima behind them.
I started a Legend run in Yakuza 0, and this time I’m unlocking all the moves and doing the side games proper, now that I have the Kiryu saga completed so the call backs will actually hit this time.
