Sega vs. Nintendo...anime? What?

Interesting! Still have many fond memories of the 16-bit wars. Lots of great stuff put out in that era that otherwise wouldn’t have, had only one or the other company been around, with no fierce competition.

Sadly Sega dropped the ball in a big way after that(though i loved the Saturn).

So I’m guessing at the end, Marcse will still keep his tyrannical empire, Saroid becomes an abused housewife, and Gia selling himself in the Ninterudo Empire, and abused by his supposedly trusted Team Gia (I’m anticipating a Were-hog arc).

I remember Columns, it was a fun game. I wonder if she would end up stuffed in a fridge eventually.

I’m totally expecting the Segua Kingdom to spread propaganda, something to the effect of Segua doing what Ninterudon’t.

How is Segata Sanshiro not a character in this?

If there is anywhere he would truly fit in, it would be in a Japanese cartoon.

In related news, several SRK readers looking through this thread and the various console war references of the 80s/90s simultaneously said: “Heeeey, I remember that! Good times, good ti-- …wait. I remember that happening roughly two decades ago. Damnit, now I feel old.”

Segata Sanshiro sacrificed himself in hopes that sega and the dreamcast would have a bright future. If he only knew :shake:.

He was a true hero.

Only one I could pick out was Samus.

Bad designs imo.

I could pick out Samus, Mario, Luigi (who I suspect they will portray as a coward or comic relief since that has been Japan’s MO for the 15 years outside a few games he is playable), Kirby and Neru.

The designs are a bit bland but hopefully, it won’t take itself too seriously and will have a bunch of jokes, including one were the Nintendo forces accidentally unleash some Sony type enemy that they have to team up to go against. Unlikely but who knows, I am willing to give it a shot.

Needs more Sega characters.
