I blame sonic 06 because I can

As horrible as most of the games are, they still sell well, so they probably did well keeping that series alive. Even though it’s been mutated into something despicable.

I agree, this game should be wiped from human history, it goes beyond ‘bad’ and just becomes depressing to think that mankind is capable of creating something like it.

I doubt VF5:FS is cancelled because its in the final stages of development and Sega just had the FS Cab at Southtown yesterday. Plus that explains why they went for digital release instead of download. As far as the DLC items are concerned it doesn’t matter because we get the entire core game. Imagine if Sega pulled a Capcom and decided to sell you Jean and Taka? So I respect what they are doing with final showdown. I just wished the other players can see your items without buying em. You lose most of the fun from items knowing that a select few can see them but W/E I’m fine with the core game.

Shenmue 3 is at serious risk of ever coming out, the good news is those crappy marvel games from Sega are probably done and any other no name crap. I don’t like the new Sonic games but at least they are a big improvement from Sonic 06 so it shows Sega is trying at least. Though I’m not feeling the whole 2p Sonic 4 ep 2 feature, keep the core focus on 1p!

I would just like to say buy VF5:FS this summer. It’s a pure, honest, beautiful and lovely fighting game with no gimmicks, and it’s downloadable aka cheap. I don’t like Skullgirls from a art direction standpoint but I will buy it to support a good fighter. So buy VF5FS, please people…;(

Also if the Shenmue ports come out just buy them to send Sega a message to go ahead with Shenmue 3.

Vita. Japan loves that thing, whereas you’ll just get some casual gamers buying the aliens game…far less than would buy a vita game in japan. Sega’s main market is japan. Gamers always think the world revolves around america.

PSP is still commonplace in Japan, that’s the only reason why I think a big title can save Vita in that country. Gravity Daze actually sold well (100k in a month) for a completely unknown IP on an install base of (still!) under 1M. The US/West otoh, I don’t know what’s gonna help that system.

It makes sense for Sega to cut titles that pretty much have no hope of selling… but with that attitude, a lot of fan-favorite titles (VF in US) should get cut, and you fans would just support Sega in name basically. The answer should be to publish mainstream titles that will absolutely sell, and have less dependence on the niche titles. I thought that was Sammy’s strategy (for vgs, and the non-vg coin-op business) but evidently they need to refocus.

Dear SEGA,

DreamCast 2 Shenmue 3 bundle.

P.S. Your welcome.

Anyone worried about JGR HD, Shenmue, or any other DLC calm down SEGA said they’re focusing more on digital distribution.

Some rich nerds need to bail these people out. Platinum Games and the Valkyria series have been tremendous in this generation I don’t want them to die.

I heard the Vita was struggling in Japan to the point where the PSP was outselling it, and the launch didn’t sell out (Which I understand is unusual over there for a major launch). Googling it now in news search I see mixed articles about good sales in US and struggling sales in Japan and everything in between, so forgive me if I’m wrong.

I honestly think that Aliens will be a good money-spinner and a better investment than a Vita title. It’s certainly got a much larger install base than Vita and has a pretty wide appeal due to it’s branding (also it’s looking to be a good game which will help). By comparison, AVP was a bit shit, and still sold really well:

This is entirely because it did okay sales on the consoles and on PC. Then Sega just slashes the price to as low as a Dollar and it sold like crazy. It’s on sale every month or so for like $5 and $10 with all the DLC. The game still sucks ass though.

Capcom can single-handedly fix that: Monster Hunter.

A smidgeon off-topic but damnit, this is regarding a true Sega classic…anyone played through the first Streets of Rage on the Genesis?

Great beat’em up and all, but damn those twin clones of blaze that you fight later in the game, are INSANE! You can’t hit them, they can throw you within two characters length away, and their attacks due crazy damage compared to some of the other bosses.

Anyone know what i’m referring to, and how did you beat them? Strategy?

Wait. Virtua Fighter 5 is coming out as a DL game?

Yep.

Jump then kick until victory.

sega been ass for years. the best game they have wasn’t even developed by them ( bayonetta ) so i can give two flying fucks what happen to this piece of shit company. also, people need to be realistic with virtua fighter 5. nobody is going to bother playing that game much like skullgirls.

Aw yeah.

That does not work. They have magical dodging capabilities. Only way i could find to hit them is when they’re coming down after a jump kick, though by the time i’ve done enough damage they’ve wrecked me.

Yeesh you could play like a Pro through the entire game, and still die horribly like a noob when they show up.

They are on the boat right? And do the stupid backflips?

I usually save all my Cop Specials for bosses and then hit and run because they randomly go invincible mid combo.

I thought you had to refight them as well?

Now I feel like playing SoR

I wish Sega Genesis Mega Collection had online.
