Just picked my pair up from the post office today. These shits are the truth. I’m thinkin’ about gettin’ a black one to match my PC lol.
I’ve noticed sales have slowed down on the controllers because of the prices most likely. The black ones are cheaper than the “limited” grey ones. It seems like they have a crap load to go around too. I’m gonna wait it out awhile before I cop another.
EDIT: Just copped two black ones for $43 w/ free shipping. I’m straight.
anyone tell me how well this controller works on ps3 games such as SC4? can it take two button inputs at once without falling apart? is there any cons?
For the people still wanting to pick some up, MS’s Live Search Cashback is back at 30% off.
-Just go here.
-Click on that 30% off Live Search Cashback Sponsered site link where it says Sega Controller.
-Filter the ebay listings (Accessories, then checking not specified works well)
-Make sure that Microsoft Cashback logo is there (it should be next to the Ebay logo)
-Purchase with Paypal.
-Wait 60 days for 30% cashback.
I believe you can have a max of 6 transactions using this. If you want to try to buy other stuff on ebay, just search using different keywords on the 1st link and see if it gives you that cashback link. I know people got 360s and PS3s using this promotion. Here’s the terms and conditions for the program: http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html?_trksid=m38
I reckon they’re fakes but made with genuine parts…
Sounds stupid I know, but in a lot of factory’s in China they work all day producing for example Timberland boots. During the day all products made are packaged and shipped of to Timberland to sell at a fat profit in a smart shop.
Then at night workers will produce the same goods with the same materials but these are to be sold on the black market, i.e. not through legitimate retailers.
The only confusing thing about this is that these controllers haven’t been in production for YEARS. So it’s not like there are a bunch of legit Sega products being made during the day. If that’s true, then these dudes need to crank out some PS2 versions!
btw, thanks for telling me about this and ruining my plans, i was just getting to the point where I might be happy with two VSHGs, a namco PSX stick, a green goblin, and HRAP EX whenever arcadeshock starts delivering but now I’m craving a HRAP2 SA
Yeah. I was looking at the HRAP2 SA’s on Ebay using that method, but I decided not to bite as I should probably save that money for the Madcatz SF4 stick instead.
Confirming that these bootlegs have input problems.
I thought it was the doujin shmup I was playing, but it wasn’t. If you press the pad in the center, your character will pause. This isn’t the case with my original, official Saturn USB pad. This can seriously mess up a good run at times. If you don’t believe me, try it out yourself.
I have played a few NeoGeo shmups with this pad through an emulator and not had any troubles, no character pausing or anything and I just tried it as soon as I saw this post.
