I don’t know how that makes sense to you taking out a pot that Hevad said was going to be in there. If this big match was that important there should have been a disclaimer saying the pot was only guaranteed if this bet happen. I’m all for big matches I help start this but a MM shouldn’t control a tournament, especially a major like SB:R. Now because of this his word is in question. Furthermore if you guys wanted hype how come no one posted about it in the thread. Yeah you couldn’t go into details fully but someone could have said the dream matches. But either way its not a good look for the tournament taking out the pot for that reason days before the tourney.

Oh please…I posted so many times in this thread regarding hype of the matches and how Hevad’s attendance was pending regarding matches happened. We talked about matches, you didn’t post very much as if you were ignoring the thread and posts. Just so you know, the bonus money was put into question as soon as the first big MM was canceled. It was discussed behind the scenes over two weeks ago.

In simple english…There were supposedly guaranteed money matches that were supposedly going to happen. The money to be donated was going to come out of those guaranteed money matches. These people backing these guaranteed money matches backed out at the last minute. There went the money.

90% of the people complaining so far about this money aren’t even going to make top 8 so it doesn’t even affect them. Name ONE player that was planning to attend solely for the bonus money… If you can’t do that, then the only people affected by this are those who will get top 8 (I pray that I’m one of them), and those people should be mad at the people who agreed to bets and then backed out.

Every year, whether it’s Evo or Season’s Beatings, I try my best to gather the most hype marvel match possible of the highest pot size magnitude. I’ve put money on/bet on tons of events dating back to Sanford vs Duc, Justin vs John Choi, Justin vs Yipes, Toan vs Fanatiq #1, Toan vs Fanatiq #2, Team Hevad (fanatiq,neo,chunksta,chris schmidt) vs Sanford ft10 which all had lots of money involved. Although in the end I ended up profitting, I still had the intent of doing it for the hype because people who have money to bet this big don’t wait for 1-2 opportunities per year to set up a $10,000 bet match with the intention of living off that kind of grind.
Well, things are different this year. I think in the last two months I called several of possibly interested parties/players to set something up, and within the last 2-3 weeks everything fell threw and was flaked on. I’m not going to name names, because that’s just not a nice thing to do.
People are just not reciprocating this year in terms of wanting to run something huge between two people with a grudge and what not. There were people more interested in the betting itself, but when push came to shove, they wanted to find a way to gain an advantage in the betting aspect which is why right now we have nothing confirmed as far as a huge match that I’m betting on. The way things have happened throughout the years is someone would present a match, I would say if I liked it (almost always have) and I would bet on it. Well now that this isn’t happening and several people have fucked me over for the season’s beatings matches I have decided that I will no longer give to the community which I always have because it’s failing to give back to me. The $3,000 that I stated I was going to put into Marvel is now being taken out and put back into my pocket. I hope you guys who booked tickets to go there are purely going to hang out with your friends and soak up the good times, because otherwise you’re flat out of luck. If something happens in the following years from this event in terms of marvel growth or any other game I’m interested in then you’ll see a re-surfacing of the gambling hype, but for now you all can consider this a done deal. Sorry.

ok. enough is enough. i wasn’t even going to bother but this has gone way out of hand. hevad, i dunno what you told fanatiq, neo, mixup, etc, but based on what they’re saying, it doesn’t seem like it was the truth.

after evo, i had no contact with you at all up until about two months ago. at that point you call and then text me about setting something up for SB. my response was that i dunno if i could even make it to SB at all because of my health issues. that’s it. that’s literally the ONLY communication you got from me. after that, somehow it seems you and team WC got it in your heads’ that there was supposed to be some MM and that i was going to be involved, because about 3 weeks ago, you started calling and texting me over and over about some MM, which i didn’t even know the details about. i have no idea where that came from and i still don’t.

you knew about my health issues. you and neo came to the hotel room at evo and i told you guys my body was infested with fungus and parasites, and the shitload of other symptoms i had been suffering because of it. how you could assume i was going to agree to a bet without you asking if i was even healthy enough to travel at all seems pretty strange considering the last contact i had with you and what i told you at evo. but there you were, assuming i was gonna bet on something when you received no indication from me that i would even by healthy enough to travel, let alone place a 5 figure bet.you even went so far as to harass a number of people to call me to get me to do the MM.

there was nothing “cancelled”. for there to be a cancellation, there must first be some agreement made. there was never an agreement. there was never even any discussion about stipulations of a MM before an agreement. oh and my health? it’s still shitty. i’m still down 70 lbs from my peak weight, hack up phlegm all day, get random headaches and nausea, havent’ had a good night’s sleep in over a year, and a ton of other problems. thats’ why i can’t go to SB. that’s why there never was a money match.

as my health returns, which i believe it will due to some drastic lifestyle changes i’ve made recently, i hope to be much more active in the community. until then, i’m just in survival mode.

there are a number of you who have been very kind towards me regarding my battle with my health problems. you know who you are and i thank you all very much

have fun at SB everyone. this isn’t the end of marvel.
