Since the thread is bumped I see and people are wondering …
Fugee and I were COMPLETELY burned out on fighters and the scene for months after the months of SB4 work – we just started talking again about our SB5 plans and our DVD.
No new details, but we can have it for sale at SB5, and sell it online afterwards. I’m actually seeing a professional video editor on Sunday to give him details on the scope of the job. So yes, we talked it over and SB5 is happening. Fugee and I aren’t game players like we used to be, but SB is too big to let go, and we know so many of you enjoy the weekend we host every year. We hope to announce the date + some prelim details and hype within a couple months. We really want to expand how we market this one, so it will hopefully pay off if we go that route.
The DVD is going to be a lot more than ass-quality YouTube vids, that’s all I want to express for now. We don’t want to throw matches on a disc – we’re doing something for the fans obviously, but also something we can put in our professional portfolios, so expect some class work.
what about the marvel footage from SB3?

Yeah I was there too, watching the youtube was nothing compared to being there though, just another low-quality match vid. I bet the dvd will capture the experience etc. much more.

Hopefully this will be the last bump this thread ever gets: I’m starting a blog for SB5 updates since Fugee and I are getting a lot of questions, and it seems like having a central place for questions/comments that’s not this thread would be best. So here’s what I’ll be updating until the inevitable SB5 thread itself – even then I want to keep a blog about the organization and go in-depth about stuff I’m not going to waste thread posts on. See you this Fall!
