Season's Beatings III - RESULTS!

First of all Mad thanks too Fugee for inviting myself and the ATL Crew too Seasons Beatings.
I appologize on behalf of Atl having such a large amount of players drop out the week of or close to the tournament date, I promise if we are ever invited again the number count will be set in stone because that was something that threw a niche into the tournaments running in a timely orderly fashion (Pre-Registration, No shows, & the need to alter brackets).

Now as far as the Soul Calibur Tournament goes, maybe 2 t.v.'s were not enough, I can respect that opinion.

Now those complaining on how late it ran or the brackets in general need to stop, THINK and quit bitching real talk.

First of all in defense of DigimonEmperor, He offered the ENTIRE SC4 community sitting there a shot at continuing the tournament… THE NEXT DAY… most of you all didn’t say a damn word, not yes or no, the others who did speak were all for continuing the tournament THAT DAY… so that means no matter how late it was, the ish was going to continue.

Further more, the Canadian Players complaining about the brackets… all you cats came down, it was like 5 or more of you guys correct??
You all claim to be so good… so solid… yet you all got aced and sent to the LOSERS BRACKETS, one right after the other, then you all got the nerve to complain because you had to face each other IN the losers brackets… huh??

Others complaining about Bye’s, well here is a little elementary for you, if YOU yourself Played a match in the first round and lets say RTD didn’t, yet he was in the 2nd round without playing a match ummm he is STILL ahead of you, hence the term Bye in or on a tournament bracket. The Bye passes a person onto the next level… so that person who gained a bye is already ahead of you when you look at the names on the brackets.
If the person up above or below you continues to gain bye’s due to players being DQ’ed or players not there period, that person or those people continue to move on in the same bracket through bye’s, just because you are playing someone doesn’t mean that your positioning should be higher than he or she’s, besides you will eventually meet this person if you BOTH continue to move on in the same bracket, it is up to YOU to defeat this person and continue to move on.

As far as the RTD v.s. Wing-Zero situation…
I find it peculiar how Jaxel decided to FAIL and mention Mick’s match JUST before RTD v.s. Wing-Zero and how that match involving Mick went 3 out of 5.
It was only Fair to allow RTD & Wing-Zero to go 3 out of 5, plus DigimonEmperor didn’t even count the match Wing-Zero had already won, he asked them to reset/restart.

The Hosts didn’t REFUSE you all to continue SC4 in a BAD way…
Everyone who read this thread before the actual event,
KNEW IFC Yipes v.s. Justin Wong was the Featured presentation, Main Event or what ever you want to label it, hell almost 60% if not MORE of the people who showed up on Saturday… WANTED to see that event, including SC4 players (Which includes myself who might I add am marvel player & a SC4 player)
Those individuals wanted to see the battle, it just so happened the names called in order to play were watching that show, others NOT interested in Marvel like RTD, or Mick etc could have played there matches to keep the tournament moving since they are not interested in marvel… why not complain about them not helping to move the tournament along… is it because they are a top name in the SC community??

I can’t believe you are complaining about casuals when most 3rd strike, ST players and a host of others could not get casuals in just because of the heavy rotations, same with Tekken and Tekken had multiple T.V’s.
I know for a fact, no one had there FIRST match at 4am that’s freegin impossible because I recorded matches and the tournament was over soon after the Marvel tournament if not before.

I seriously cannot believe you Jaxel, after WE ATL showed you all mad love and respect, you attempted to dis-credit Wing-Zero and his win at SB3…
Yet Wing-Zero had the hardest bracket at the tournament, which included all but 3 top names, TomBrady, RTD, Mick, JTO (who is from atl) Jaxel (you) need I really name more??
Plus he went through undefeated, meaning you all had plenty of shots to take him out… and couldn’t, he broke down RTD’s Agol and the entire tournament became a flop to you ??
I have been in tournaments longer than this one, when you all were NOT watching Marvel you all could have kept fresh and casual played… who’s fault is it that you all did not?
So Wing-Zero didn’t sit there just like you all and wait and wait and wait… and earn his victory, just like any of you would have if you’d won the whole thing??

Plus Team ATL defeated New Jersey in Team Money Matches in your own hotel the very next day, PLUS JTO defeated your entire team by himself, Wing-Zero, Big-Boi, nor myself needed to play, yet they all decided to play one on one money matches AND… they won those too, you all didn’t even win a set, defeated Team Michigan, and a few other small teams and individuals, leaving the tournament undefeated in money matches.

Did anyone get any of this on tape and if so where can i see it?

Myself and Preppy have Marvel vids for sure, I also have SC4 tourny matches, as well as ATl Money Matches against all who chose to oppose

Much love to Ghaleon, Fugee, and everyone else who put their heart and soul into running this and making it great.
Also thanks to Josh and others for doing a seriously great job running the brackets.

People taping Marvel were:

  • Cool-Breeze
  • Me (~27 tapes, it’ll be a long-for-me while)
  • Jason-X (doesn’t know how to upload footage)
  • See Jay (hours and hours and hours of footage)
  • Flapp
  • hAMm’s girlfriend
and I think two other people that I can’t think of right now.

Define ‘entire seattle team’?

Rat took my 2nd camera that I was going to tape it with and went off to tape another better match instead. There’s no footage of it. I think I showed off two or three minor tricks there. (Trick two was the “Victory!” pose moment in match one.)

Those should be pretty great. I think people a couple buildings over probably could hear Steve H when he was celebrating his victory.

In related news, I still don’t know what the hell Arthur (BabyWolverine) said to the camera after he beat Sanford, but that was also amusing after-match banter that I hope people have fun watching.

Florida guys are cool, always want to run everything back. And I do mean everything.
Mad love to Beats who made the smartest decision of anybody in the entire tournament: sorry we didn’t get a chance to play each other.

Rat should have had Sanford. Row kept stopping mid-combo and so lost many things he should have won. (short short nothing? that’s my patented combo!)

I lost to Demon Hyo in Winner’s (my full life Cable made a Legendary super jump forward with all his little black heart and ate random lightning attack into DHC of Death for his trouble, otherwise it would have been a good match).
In loser’s I got kind of randomed out by the more-talented-than-I X due to a seriously unfortunate bluescreen.

from there i dont know

Me and vdo tied for 5th in cvs2 havoc and flash i think tied for 7th.

All Brawl was sweet, props for setting that up. Oh everyone who brought a wii check for a saved match that’s a Zelda Ditto (black vs. green) on New Pork City, I got the K.O the last second. It was awesome. Keist, nice Wario. It was a great tournament, incredible venue, and everything.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t tie 7th with Flash, considering he was waiting to play winner of the match I lost. I think that guy that beat Ski tied for 7th Flash. Grego, I think his name was?

Steve beat buk? FUCK YEAH! How many WC peeps did Steve rape in money matches?

Zero.

Only WC players there were Buk and Combo, and he didn’t play either of them for money, as far as I know.

wow…just wow…

Any chance we can get full or more than just a few ST results?

I lost to Desmond in losers 2-1. Wouldn’t that mean I got 9th place?

As far as my money matches were concerned (which nobody probably cares about)

I beat Rawbzilla 5-2, and in the runback 5-1
I beat Vercette 7-0
I beat AsainDaisy 7-4 I believe
I beat CJ Showstopper 3-2

I lost to Combofiend 3-2
I lost to SamB 4-2

I say again that as soon as we can get ST/CvS2 brackets up, which were run on paper and not an easy C&P job like 3s, we will. They will be posted.

EC/WC should be 18-7, not 17-7

And I should have All-Brawl results on my laptop – I can check on those.

Sorry, I didn’t see the post where you said that. My apologies.

You’d also have KoF98um and Garou on that same laptop.

The results for the shokbok bowling tournament
1st nelson
2nd corey
3rd shokbok

It’s cool.

Keits, yeah, I’ll post those two.

OSU paper interview with me, done on Sunday. Really sucks they didn’t use any pics, but oh well. I was the copy editor for the paper in '04/'05, so it’s nice to be back in ink and get SBIII some cred that the mainstream will read.

the results are not the big story
shokbok has the exclusive footage on what happens after the tournament is over
there will be a 5 PART MOVIE ON THE AFTERMATH OF SEASONS BEATINGS WITH EXCLUSIVE FULL LENGTH FOOTAGE OF THE BEST FROM EAST AND WEST “GETTIN IT POPPIN” TOGETHER !!!
FEATURING JUSTIN WONG YIPES SOO MIGHTY CHUNKSTA PREPPY SANFORD KELLY AND MUCH MUCH MORE
The first episode will be released on sunday on youtube (replacing new episodes of code geass)
if you thought you knew the gamers think again
the tournament was A$$ compared to the aftermath
the most godlike part of the entire trip
when you see it you will be mad if you didn’t come or if you left sunday night

dance off?
