I don’t know, what do you think?
Make him pick a non-charge character.
Lol. If he wants to play T.Hawk, I’m game. Cammy mirror match? I think I’m gonna try and practice tonight or tomorrow. This sounds like it will be fun.
I’ll pull $20 out of the bank specifically for money matches in the near future. It sounds like it’s worth it.
alright, I won’t pick a charge character
but I know for damn sure I will NOT do a Cammy mirror match
oh lord no
Let me in on this $1 MM action, I will beast all at completely random moments like usual, like me throwing Jetay’s Chun’s MK when it’s in my face and perfecting Jamie’s Claw one round only to be cheesed to death in the other 2, LOL
I’ll play you for a dollar, Paullee.
sure
Me too
I’ll play anyone for a dollar!
Whoa, whoa, you make it sound like it wasn’t mutual. Plus, everybody knows I just joke around when I talk smack, because I can’t back up nothing!
money match madness :looney:
He is just butt hurt because you are for a fact better than him at marvel.
I was very dissapointed in the lack of money matches that took place tonight (0).
Hello, Zass (Beasley). I’m very interested in your rankings, as it is something that I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now. I use a ranking based system, but it’s more of a power ranking system that doesn’t use much math (just logic). The reason why I’m posting this, is because I’m very interested in this system. For my power rankings, I try to use a system where skill is more benefited than just constantly coming to tournaments. My system is flawed, but is good for what it is (but I would rather have something that is mathematically-based).
If you want an example of the power rankings that I did, here are two posts of it:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=138589 (first post, middle part)
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=134703 (first post)
Here are two threads that talk about it:

I have the full results of most of those tournaments available if that is necessary. Thank you. Also, keep up the good work hyping up ST. It seems even more livelier than some of the best places in the nation for ST competition.
world rankings
here’s the rankings of the top 100 players after Nohoho kindly input some japanese tournaments. Yes Zass is still ranked #1 but this is only because my sigma is low (I’ve entered many tournaments). Note that Choiboy and Tokido have higher mus (which is correct, they are better than me ). As we input more data from past tournaments, expect the name players to rise to the top.

TarkanX, I’ll be happy to discuss the algorithm in more detail Thanks for the interesting links!
15th? me? poppycock? im damn sure way lower than that!
I would expect the Wolfe brothers to rise MUCH higher as well, as well as some Japanese players. Seeing players like KKY so low makes my soul hurt.
That’s simply because not a lot of data has been entered. If we can get previous Evo results as well as regionals I think you’ll see them rise.
Beasley, this could potential be one of the greatest things to happen in the community! You really need to post this in the fighting game discussion. I’ve tried to post something like this, but it didn’t get any attention. Because of you being a known name, and a top player, you would get much attention. 20 years from now, we would be looking back at players and saying “can this new generation guy beat an old guard?” I’ll try to get others to back this, this really needs the attention it gets. You have to remember to word it well, though; some people will see one word without reading the whole thread and denounce it as a failure.
This could also bridge the gap between international scenes. We could actually determine which nations have the best players. If only we had this back in the early 90s.
This is your creation, Beasley, you deserve to name this rating system.
I don’t want to make it public yet, because I want more tournament data to be entered first. Obviously I’m not the #1 player in the world. It’s only beacause we have lots of seattle data and not much data from more real tournaments. After we get old Evo data and more Japanese data in, I’ll be putting this up on a website where people can browse rankings and actually look at tournaments.
Thanks for the kind words! It’s encouraging to see excitement over this
Tarkan, aren’t your tournaments online?
