About Sean’s Tornado Kick; what can you hit confirm into it?
Also will the HK Tornado only combo, if St. HK hit a crouching opponent?

It’s really not worth using reliability. But it has invincibility nonetheless.

HK tornado kick wont combo at all…under any circumstances…

s.mp, s.hp, s.hk, c.mk, c.mp, c.hp, can confirm to some version of tornado kick (except HK).

EDIT: I never did a projectile when they when a Makoto activated sa3, maybe just projectile invincible perhaps?

Nothing combos into RH tornado. Its useless AND unsafe. With a -2 frame advantage why use it?

Fp,mk tornado is better.

yea, i do, but i havent been on there recently, and I dont get on often when i could. I just wiped my computer clean, and lost everything. I just got 3rd strike back, so I should be back on there soon.

Don’t give up on low tiers.

The reason why they are low tiers is because people will favor natural ability over true skill. That and you take popularity and ease into account, that’s why people favor Chun Li, Yun, Makoto and Ken over everyone else is because they can defeat others with ease.

Ken is better than Sean in many natural aspects, but with skill, precision and patience…plus having knowledge of your opponents weaknesses will overcome any natural advantage such as more speed or power. It just takes time, just like if you was playing with Remy, twelve, Hugo…hell any low to mid tier characters besides Ryu.

I CERTAINLY haven’t given up being good with Sean just because I main Alex more than Sean…I"m equally as effective with Sean as I am with Alex.

Mindgames, Mix up, techs, parry skills and everything else must be taken into account when playing with anybody. So you might as well smile while taking a beating because you know how things are going to go down Round 2 >.>

…and if you experiment, you might have a killer Sean player and you might win a shitload of tournaments. That’s what seperates the good players from the ordinary. If Kuroda and Hayao can take low tier characters and be killer in the tourney circuit, so can you with Sean. I guess that’s why I haven’t gave up on him or Alex…because i’m doing too damn good to stop now. That’s why next year i’m going to main Sean and try my luck. Hell i’m doing it now with local tourneys…and i’ve gotten my success…but it’s all small compared to winning the bigger tourneys and that’s what i’m shooting for.

No high tier bullshit is keeping me down.

im entering my first tournament next week with sean as my main and oro as my second (i find sean harder against certain characters). i find playing sean has really boosted my game - im more an opportunist now. plus hes fun!

stupidlikeafox, it’s good to hear that ur using him 4 tournies…I should start doing that, now that I will have a lot of time available. Actually I got an NC tourney I’m going to and I will use Sean. But um, 3SJ, I play on there now, just hit me up if u wanna go some rounds.

well, i came second in my tournament. its not often you see a hugo vs sean final lol. played well first match then started to play bad and ended up getting beat 2 - 0. thats cool coz he was the “one to beat” and i did real well against one of the other “favourites” too. they were taping it so hopefully will be able to find the match vids!

yeah, i wanted to start with sean then play as oro, but the way it was set up i switched. won 3/4 good matches so im pretty pleased.

I can’t wait to see the vids, if they are out online. I know the NC tourney I’m going to will be taped, so I will have some footage…I need to have some b4 the tourney. Just keep using Sean.

yeah, my oro is still more successful (previous character i played before sean), but when im on a roll i’d pick my sean over oro hands down.

btw when your opponent is waking up, do any of you use a close lp roll? had relative success with this lately. go figure. lol, i also tried to follow it up a couple times with another lp roll just for laughs…

I personally have been successful with lp roll on wake up but at most only once or twice in any given match.
One tactic that I’ve recently been using is during a mix up stop mid mix up,dash back and use lp roll.I’ve enjoyed moderate success with this tech.Especially after landing his target combo for some weird reason.

ooo nice! but yeah, i find if i use the wake up lp roll once or twice… they look for it. but at the same time, when they look for it, they stop trying wake up throws in the process. means i can get in closer than usual!
