Se/te/hrap/ex2 working pc drivers

i found that the default drivers work just fine in vista for the ex2 as well as the se. In xp sp3, sp2, etc. it doesn’t. The xbcd project was awesome for that, i heard, but the files got taken down. If anybody has it lying on their desktop somewhere, it would be amazing of them to upload it to mediafire or rapidshare or something.

This thread really did the job. All it took was a little Google and some tweaking to get it right.

Anybody who’s looking for XBCD 0.4.0 and the fix can find it HERE.

I just had to change a button assignment or 2 but I have it working in MAME 32++ .119, Melty Blood AC v.B and in Vanguard Princess.

For all my 360 TE Users: Drop the line of code below in the INF file when you get to that step and everything will be smooth after that.

%XBCD_360.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_0738&PID_4738 ; Arcade Stick (Street Fighter IV Fightstick TE)

Hopefully nobody else has to go the the grind I did to get it popping off right.

Tried installing this, but then I get a window that says “Not enough storage is available to process this command,” and it just cancels. What’s the deal? Plenty of space on my hard drive.

im glad that some of yall have found this guide helpful… since i posted it back in march, im not sure what links would work but you should find these 2 files :
xbcdsetupv0400.exe
XBCDv04Fix.exe
or updated versions without much trouble by doing a simple search

for those of you having trouble with mame??? just hit tab after launching a game and set the keys yourself, instead of creating assignments in anysort of windows based program such as the xbcd setup… this will save you tons of headaches… but if u must try and use the horiex2 setup file and load that into xbcd if ggpo isnt playing nice with your stick…

lathorian… are you having problems installing the common controller driver? or are you having problems with mame such as “”"" initilizing""" issues?

I apologize for bumping this, but I have a problem. When I first got my stick and tried doing this, I had to go through a bunch of BS to finally get it to work with XBCD. On the other hand, when it was finally working, it worked perfectly on every program I tried it on (I have a 360 TE stick, using Windows XP).

However, just earlier I had to hook up my USB MP3 player (which doesn’t use drivers or anything) into the same USB slot I use my stick for. After I was finished and wanted to plug my stick back in, I received no response from anything and it’s like I have to start all over again. I also keep getting the “This device cannot start. (Code 10)” error whenever I try to update the drivers.

Any ideas? It’s starting to get very aggravating how some people have to go through this shit just to get their stick working…

to oOvicious0o … sometimes certain computer motherboards work very odd with these sticks… its a software/firmware issue that cannot be changed because it is based on assignments of the USB ports… if your wondering how i know this … this shit took me over 13 hours one day to figure out :frowning: fuk madcatz they should just release working drivers if they havent already… my suggestion to you is figure out which USB is your MAIN usb port then trouble shoot from there

holy hell… how is this thread still active lol
also for anyone who is interested … im now picking up a slim PS3 WOOOOT
also my ps3 gammer tag is norsemen1337
is it wrong to own blazblue on 2 systems ???

Sick…worked perfectly. Nothing else had worked for me (X360 TE)

i’m still tryin to find a way around this stuff.
…getting frustrated here

fuckin thank you

Any way to get the fix file? I found the XBCD 0400 file fine. Thanks.

I recently came into a pair of SE Fight sticks for ps3 and I was wondering if there way a way to get them working on my hacked original xbox considering they’re usb. Any suggestions?

nvm.

i got a hrap ex:se tried all the drivers and i cant get it to work. i tried it on my computer and my friends both windows xp and it wont work. when i plug it in the light around thge xbox guide button blinks a few times and the computer makes the device found sound a few time but nothing comes up and it isnt on the joystick list. my friends madcatz se works on both computers. anyone seen this before?

TE stick too

This one works with both the Street Fighter IV SE and TE Fight Sticks with no extra hassle. Tested on XP, Vista, and Win7 all 32-bit.

May work with other sticks, but I can’t test them since I don’t have them…

I’m back to drop more knowledge.

Now contrary to what the OP says at least in XP the 360 Controller Drivers and XBCD+ Drivers can coexist without any issue. You just have to choose what drivers will make each controller function. If you’re gonna use XBCD+ make sure to find the code for the .inf that belongs to your controller.

The reason I found this out was because XBCD+ doesn’t recolonize the headset while the 360 Drivers do. So if you ever have to use the 360 headset make sure you have a controller designated to do just that.

I hope this helps someone else.

So i brought a new ssf4 te stick and wanted to use it in mame. I was getting the dumb error preventing me from mapping inputs. yes i know about joy2key, but i wanted a driver cause im stubborn. anyway
so i tried this ver of xbcd and still had no dice. So after several hours of googling and experimenting i came up with a solution that works. I made a guide with all the files you’ll need to get your 360 stick (te/se/hori ex2/ssf4 te) etc working in mame.

A zip file with everything you need and instructions can be found here http://www.mediafire.com/?mwmmj5dyknj

If it works let me know and if it doesnt let me know to!

Hope this helps someone from going through trouble i did.

PS. Ive tested my guide on a fresh laptop using my SSF4 TE stick as well as a Hori ex 2 and both worked np on windows 7 x64 as well as my main desktop also windows 7 x64 (system i did experimenting on)

This worked, thanks so much.

Probably the dumbest solution posted here yet but here goes:

If you notice that your controller briefly lights up and then goes blank without being recognized for shit, try plugging it into your xbox first. For some reason after doing so the controller cooperated and worked with the installed drivers. This was for the madcatz pad btw

Sorry for the necrobump but I’m currently having the same issue. I tried some of the advice on this thread and nothing seems to be working, my laptop continues to refuse to recognize my 360 te stick. Any current solution to this problem? OS is Vista 64bit.
