Sorry, got busy plus I wanted to check something before I reported back.
Unfortunately, the RT went out about 5 min into training mode last Thursday; it was resolved after plugging/unplugging the stick in. I checked inside to make sure the wires did not come loose and they were still firmly connected to the screws and the QD block. I’ll keep playing and report the next time it happens but the fact that it has already happened pretty much counts me out, I suppose.
Even if it’s bad news, I appreciate you telling us.
If you’re willing to pay shipping, I’d be willing to do that other mod I described to your stick, the one with the resistors. If that’s something you’d like, and would again be willing to test out and keep us informed on how well it does, it’d be awful helpful.
I assume this one was never solved for good? I have an old TE with the plates grounded, but it still occurs rarely. I think I’m going to rip out all the guts and put in a PS360+
He’ll be back… man’s done a lot around here I’m sure the break will do some good… as far an this issue its a pcb problem… I dont believe in the grounding fixes that people have tried… mostly because I have handled a lot of these in the past and never had that issue… its not as common as people make it seem… and when it does happen its more heartache to fix than it is to replace the PCB or get a new stick… but thats just my opinion I cheer people on when they fix their own issues I just dont get into the hype when they make it sound like all products will do this… bottom line is that the SE is a low budget stick compared to others and problems will arise with electronics…
haha holy shit its been two years since I posted on this thread!
