I’m shocked by the amount of guile salt. He’s a pretty bad character.
Now that Guile can throw up to 8 sonic booms by just pressing 2 buttons Is not surprising seeing the dumb complain, seeing how they always moan about fireballs and spamming.
I’d say he’s somewhere in the middle. Solid, but not god tier. The people getting salty are probably the same people who have no idea how to open an opponent up, so they get locked down super hard.

So what happened was I went into a lobby with this guy and two others. It came to my turn and while I was picking my character I see that he banned my main (Urien) so I just decided to click on random and it landed on Elena. He picks Dudley and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a scrubbier Dudley; mashing Jet Upper like he’s Ryu, spamming Machine Gun Blow any chance he gets even when Elena can stuff that every time. I end up beating him quite easily to the point where the others up and leave so it’s just me and him. Then I notice that he made the settings to where only the loser can change their character so I’m stuck with Elena. Ten ass kickings and three R.Kelly specials later (Double Perfect) the dude kicks me and sends me that message up there.
TL;DR I constantly whipped some noob with a character I don’t really use and he sends me his best impersonation of LTG.
At first I thought it was SFIV Elena, in which case it would still be scrubby but understandable he was that salty, because fuck that boring-ass tap-a-tap-a-tap-a healing timeout bullshit. Then you got to Urien and I realized it was 3rd Strike. Seriously, that guy just needs to git gud.
Funny part is I actually do play Elena in 4 but I use U1. I hate U2.
U1 Elena is still one of the stronger characters in that game, she has so many ways to combo into it. U2 is hated on because it’s badly designed (take damage to gain health <.<) and makes a lot of already lopsided matchups even worse. She beats most characters on the ground in the first place, but healing makes it so that you quite simply can’t grind her down, which is what a lot of characters actually rely on. Linear, low-damage characters like Bison, Vega and Fei Long really can’t execute their gameplans against that.
3S Elena is basically Chun light. You lose to that, you got outplayed.
The fact they made it U2 rather than her super still baffles me. Like, why the hell would you give a character healing in a game as defensive as SFIV for “free” rather than have it use EX meter?

Okay, so if he’s clearly tweeting about habitually ragequitting, how the hell haven’t Capcom scrubbed his account of all points? I thought they were supposed to do that now?
AFAIK they only wipe your points if you have a ridiculously high DC rate. LTG doesn’t rage-quit that often for that manual penalty.
Personally I’m more curious as to what additions they’ll make to the RQ system. You really should get a points deduction and lose your win streak. Getting a 2 hour time-out for rage-quitting 4 times in a session isn’t nearly good enough.

Yeah I knew once I read that “sexy characters can arouse players, thus reducing reaction time” He was regurgitating what he heard from that game theory episode. That’s the sad thing about fans of that series. They just take what that dude says as gospel and completely forget that it’s a damn theory. Not fact.
