There’s nothing wrong with disliking Turtle style play; or -just the same- would there be anything wrong with anyone disliking how you play.

Its pretty oblivious to say a turtle player is a lesser one due to his choice in being safe nearly all the time. Or outright fradulent.
Wait til he blows you up for a large combo or turns the tables and you’re left wondering what happened.

Would you “popoff” in person every time you play a turtle player? Win or lose? Playing competitively, it will be something you have to deal with, to get over yourself, and these things holding you back from growing as a player.

You know, you remind me of those scrubs (no offense but you really do have a scrubs mentality) who complain when I turtle into the corner, spamming stand Jab with Boxer all day vs Honda in ST/HDR because I know that s.jab will beat headbutt clean, every time. They ask me why I keep running away and I reply “Because it works”. They tell me to come after them. but I’m not going to change my playstyle if it means that I will lose.

If playing lame is the key to winning in certain matchups, then so be it. I will lame that shit out to very end, even timeout wins.

Usually that’s not the case OVERLY DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ARE ASS AT EXECUTING ANYTHING or at least 90% of the time. That’s why the fucking downback cause they suck at taking risks WHICH INVOLVES THE RISK OF THEIR CRAPPY EXECUTION BETRAYING THEM. People play in specific ways to compensate their weaknesses as a player or to be in their comfort.

I personally know how to block pretty well given the fact Rose doesnt have anything she can do on wake up every single time. I also wake up with something randomly cause being too turtley on wake up gets predictable as well.

ST has been regarded as one of the most balanced fighting games - ever. Every character can win and everyone has bullshit shenanigans & ToDs to work with.

EDIT: ST Rog is anything but a turtle character. He is the complete opposite. SF4 Rog on the other hand. Now that a turtle right there. ST Rog is only a turtle in certain matchups because it works best.

Well there’s something called disagreement. ST is not perfectly balanced NO FIGHTING GAME EVER IS. ST is pretty well rounded and has a lot of competent characters that can be played ( I wish I could say the same for Turtle fighter iv) at a high level. But ridiculous match ups do exist in that game. Must I remind you of the Honda vs T Hawk match up? Seriously how gay is to sit there and spam jab just because the developers overlooked this match up in the balancing process. Is not fun…games are meant to be fun you know…lol That’s why some people rather counterpick and save themselves a blood pressure rise.

Part of what I’m doing is trash talking something normal people do on a tournament. a FG tournament is not a gentlemen’s gathering with good etiquette and hypocrisy thrown around like superficial bastards. I have been around the MvC2 local scene a long time…guess you can see where I got part of my anger towards lame players from. In MvC2 destroying a scrubby low tier turtle was a great feeling of demoralizing the other opponent. I barely get that no more.

Invencible backdashes are not a footsie tool they really dont belong on any fighting game. The only reason there were added was cause meaty BS FA Lvl 3 spam that could happen on ppl’s wake up …according to Seth Killian. That was a very bad decision sadly.
