thats used by people who ONLY care about a win, and not game play, they dont want to move in because that would be dangerous and put them at risk, so what do they do? get spammy and then throw out their kill-all followed by their ultra (and their may have been several other normals, specials, and even a Super between them)

then they go back and start “giving presure”… from a full screen distance, and so on and so on

and all this because they are never forced to move forward themselves, never feel the pressure from a full screen from 90% of the cast, and, just will do whatever tit takes to lead them to a win.

thats great, but it should still be limited, let other characters bring the game to them once in a while, BALANCE things out a bit

If an attacker was punished with block stun on a blocked strike, and if light pokes had 0 block stun, the game could move forward into the realm it needs to be and was originally intended to be - a game where realism is enhanced with fantasy moves

so long as the game strategy doesnt rely on something that 80% of players will never be able to do, and nor should they be forced to play until their muscle memory reflex causes them to lose all other things in their life.

take out things which require strict timing and which ignore your opponent, because SF was never meant to be about 2 people standing together and playing a game of “look at my own timing”, its about fluid mechanics and beating up your opponent using FIGHTING skill… not button-pushing-timing skill

nobody has problems with hadokens, i can get past them with Honda, Gief, Boxer and anyone else int he game. they dont do much damage, they dont knock down, they are a fun part of the game. the reason they should be limited is to force other players to do something more interesting, more creative, and more urgent

the WHOLE POINT of Street Fighter is the fact that you can control a realistic human character to do realistic motions, and movements. but what made it Most Impressive were its fight mechanics, timings, etc, the jump speeds, the reach, distancing, the pressure characters could add, etc etc.

that is the core of SF, its not that you can throw a fireball, thats the icing on the cake, thats the fantasy frills.

the point is realism - a real fight, with enhancements
