This tourney sounds great, but I have a few questions. I have been in this arcade once, and I had a hard time playing in the ssf4 setup. I think its just me since I feel way more comfortable playing in a massystems stick than in an asian one. Alex says that the ssf4 setup has ps3 inputs, so I guess I can use my stick there since I dont own an xbox 360 one. My question is that since that setup is alreay fixed maybe some players that like to play with their sticks on the floor, not in their laps, would not see the screeen properly … am I right? There is also going to be some xboxs and asus monitors during the tourney, but is there a chance that there will be extra ps3s? My stick was meant for the ps2 and I use a ps2-ps3 converter.
I play a lot online, and I think its time to get to the next level by playing people face to face again.

I can arrange for your matches to be on PS3 for this qualifier but, what are you going to do if you qualify since SCR is xbox only?

I really doubt I will qualify. I just want to play against competitive people and improve my level of gameplay. Now I see that 99% of the competitive ssf4 scene plays in xbox. There is also a lack of ps2/ps3 to x360 converters and the ones out there are expensive and not worthy. Thanks Alex for your help, but I dont want you to work extra just because one player doesnt have 360 inputs. Good luck with the qualifiers!
I would like to get you guys input, I’m going to setup a “Smoking Lounge” there’s a lot of locals who’ve mentioned this before so I thought we gave it a shot for this special event.
I’m going to set up my cab (a new Namco replica cab with built in ash trays) with SSF4 right outside next to one of the doors so people who like to smoke and play at the same time can have some fun and a smoke while waiting for their next match or just for fun. Let me be very clear this set up is met for people who DON’T mind playing and smoking at the same time, if you are offended by cigarrete smoke by all means please do not play in this set up or ask people to turn off their cigarrete so that you can play. Also if I smell anything OTHER than cigarrete smoke I will shut down the cab no questions asked.
What do you guys think?
