Slightly off topic, but I’m excited about Castle Crashers coming out on PSN real soon, another great 4 player 2-D beat em up. I’ve played it to death on the 360, but now I’ll be able to play with friends that only have PS3s.
Make sure there’s nothing background downloading. Been reading up that’s why most (if not all) of the freeze issues were happening.
Same here!! I’ve been waiting for it since they first announced it for the PS3 back in '08. I was going to pick up Shank too but I’ll wait to buy both (plus some RB DLC) to consolidate my purchases.
I want to read the comics and see the movie. Everybody has such good things to say about it.
I’ve dabbled in both, and I prefer Scott Pilgrim over Castle Crashers. It’s just so stylish and the art, music, and interface all compliment each other. I don’t mean to troll or ruffle feathers, but the over emphases on grinding and online play make Castle Crashers very xboxy.

I’ve noticed that it is easier to keep track of characters in Scott Pilgrim compared to Castle Crashers. Still though, CC is some good stuff.
So I unlocked the full version a little bit ago. I had a lot of fun with the demo yesterday, cant wait to get more into it. Now just gotta wait for the kids to take a nap. damnt it!
So I ran in to a weird bug playing scott pilgrim today. I went to the second part of stage one. The music glichted out, then it came back, but all the midi, 8 bit sounds were gone. It just plays the song on normal instruments??
in the last subspace where you fight mega Gideon. i fell down right before i grabbed the sword, but i didnt die. i was able to jump back on a cloud and grab the sword. when the screen pans over to the boss, i was over the top edge and i could run behind gideon and completely destroy him without him touching me. i tried it again and it didnt work. i wonder if that was a one time deal or there is a way to glitch it every time.
Ummm that happens normally. First half of some stages they play a chiptune version, then second half they play an instrumental version.

I thought this was the best Scott Pilgrim mash up trailer.
I kinda sorta agree. I played the shank demo and the scott pilgrim demo, and decided to buy scott pilgrim. The level up shop system is pretty fun to do, and it seemed to have a lil more depth. castle crashers is cool like that too but castle crashers as well as shank feel really flash-game like(which makes sense as behemoth is made up of newgrounds peeps), which is cool but the problem with me is that the hitting in both game doesn’t feel as satisfying as scott pilgrim, streets of rage, or final fight do.
I am loving the corner juggle combos in this game, even if they are just one or two buttons.
I’ve got an idea… I’ve noticed a lot of characters are similar to Street Fighter characters. Anyone want to help compile a list of who has what from who?
So far I’ve noticed Scott starts off with Ryu/Ken’s move set (flaming uppercut and tatsu), and Ramona kind of seems like she was based off of Chun li. And I saw a vid of Stephen Stills doing Vega’s roll thing.
Was playing with my friend today after getting the game and it froze on me at that part too. Decided it was a good time to take a break but when we played through again it didn’t freeze.

The comics are awesome, only got the first 3 so far, will probably get the rest soonish. Saw the movie recently with a friend as well and I loved it. Had high expectations and I’m glad the style was similar to the comics.
Now to finish the game.
