truth be told…
fine by me…
so wait, t5: DR is on SBO and its a 2v2 tournament?
No, DR is not for SBO quals, but it is on console.
I made that very clear just a moment ago.

I’m curious,
why is it that you’re playing 3s and cvs2 on american 360’s?
I know last year it was on jap cabinets since that what they’ll be playing on at sbo.
uh because jap cabinets are not easy to come across and cost more money… this was already discussed rather thoroughly already
CvS2 is on console.
Don’t worry about the sticks…the games you want to play are represented…just be happy about that. If you went all this time playing on whatever your arcades gave you and you still won matches, this is no time to start bitching about stick a being in cabinet b or what-have-you. Only time ANYONE (and I do mean ANYfuckingONE) should be bitching about sticks is if when they actually play and shit legitimately DOESN’T WORK…then you bitch and get that shit sorted out. That’s my word.
Oh ya i just noticed this today, why is 10% of certain games going to the SBO teams??? When the games won’t even be at SBO.
Syxx: It’s 10% of all the EVO specific games only SBO quals. It’s to support the SBO teams when they go to Japan. There is still one more announcement regarding EVO and MWC not made yet, but it should be within the next few weeks.
Also, this has been stated before, there have usually been 2 sets of SBO qualfiers, with the other being at Family Fun Arcade in California. Family Fun has always used American sticks for their qualifiers, and I 've never seen any complaints, so this is a moot point, we announced what we are going to use, the sticks will work, and that’s the end of it.
I’m not complaining, i couldn’t care less, i was just asking out of curiosity
Wilson: Need information on Airport plz?
Thanks.
-1-
closest one is O’Hare airport.
From there you can rent a car or something to get onto i294 north until lake cook road, get off at that exit going to the right and stay on it until you get to waukegan road and make another right, go down like 2 lights and you’ll see a plaza to your left, take a left at the light to go into the plaza and the arcade is in the corner of the plaza.
or if you don’t like tollroads you can take touhey to harlem and make a left. harlem is route 43 and just follow it up north and you’ll get to it that way (around oakton 43 jogs over from harlem to waukegan). but that takes a lot longer.
last way would be to get onto i90 into chicago to i94 north and take that up til dundee road, get off on dundee west and follow that to waukegan and make a right and the very next right is the plaza.
for trains its bit more hassle
take the blue line out of o’hare and their will be a stop that you can transfer over to the red line, take that until a transfer at the yellow like and take that to the last stop in skokie. From there you can take a cab over to the arcade (that is near i94 north a few miles south of dundee).
But yeah, honestly you’re easiest bet would be i294 north to lake cook road.
Also those of you taking the grey hound bus into chicago (looking at you jeron lol), that is also the last stop of the yellow line, thus should you need to fly back, you can go back how I said from the grey hound stop to O’Hare.
The only other airport is Midway, however Midway is at least 30-45 minutes further south of the arcade than O’Hare (ie it’ll take between 30-45 minutes to just get to O’hare from Midway and O’Hare is really on the way to Nickles so its just a waste of time going to Midway unless you got some super cheap deals flying into there than O’hare…). That said, it’ll obviously cost a lot more to take a taxi up from Midway over to Nickles.
You could also take the Metra to the Lake Cook station and have someone come and get ya, as it is less then a mile away. Or just walk from the Lake Cook station like I do, though crossing Waukegan can be a bit stressful.
yes, it’s about a 20min walk through the malle and across the street to Nickels from Lake Cook Road, on the Fox Lake Metra, and I’m a slow walker
Sabre, you should run a side XvSF turney.
victor: you should come out to mwc with me!
