All of the last chance qualifiers are held the morning of the respective tournament, so Sunday for 3rd Strike. If it’s the same as previous years, the registration cut off is 8:10AM sharp so be there at least a few minutes before then.

There’s still last chance quals, but there are quite a handful of jap players that made it last year that aren’t here now, notably: Spellmaster J, Uraken, Danna, Hitotsume, Keeper, Goemon, Ushi, Namijin, Eda, Hirochan, Ino, Senaka, Ruu…

No YSB, J or TM either… and I wouldn’t be surprised - there are more chun players this year than last (increase from 14 to 20), and about the same amount of yun players. It’s gotta be really tough to get past all that.

I not complaining about it, don’t get me wrong - I think it’s a smart move; if you want a chance in this tourney you would probably want atleast one of the two best characters in the game on your team. Someone else said once, it’s probably gonna come down to who has the best yun and/or chun on their team. Judging from the roster right now, I can see teams 7 or 12 going the distance.

Anything can happen though, I hope I’m wrong - I want to be proven wrong. I’m excited for teams 4, 6, and 8. Just some thoughts and speculations I wanted to throw out there.

And with any possible outcome of the last chance qualifiers, we won’t see Spellmaster J vs Keeper again.
That was my favourite match at all last year - not only for being really intense by itself, but also for the meaning it held. At first Keeper was on team with MOV and Nitto; they failed the first couple qualifiers and kicked out Keeper to get SpellJ in his place. So this was a sort of a grudge match, and that’s why Keeper is taunting everytime (against MOV too), while he never taunts against other opponents :rofl:

To be honest, I think we might see some Yun and Chun rape like no other. I mean the japanese are aware themselves of the high amount of Chuns in the tournament. They’re probably are practicing those matchups like there’s no tomorrow.
