We’ll soon start asking for people to confirm hardware they can bring and create a list based on first-come, first-served. You will receive cash back at the event itself – everyone has to pay in full online.
What we need:
TUBE TVs (no LCD/plasma will be used in tournament!!) 20"-27" with A/V (white/red/yellow) jacks. If it requires a remote to get VIDEO mode you must bring a remote for credit.
Playstation 3 systems + cables, plus games (SFIV with ALL characters + most recent patch, BB, SF:HD + most recent patch). (You don’t need to own all games to receive credit.)
Playstation 2 systems + cables, plus games (3s, GG:AC+)
(We’ll appeal to the Smash people for Wiis since it’s practically a separate event)
Keep in mind that the majority of Playstation 3’s we use will need to stay put both Sat and most of Sunday.
I’ll put this on the 1st post when we’re ready to start getting hardware reservations. Keep in mind that we might take more on our list than we need in case of people not coming through or hardware difficulties, so make sure to guarantee your spot by posting ASAP.

Aw man…I’m so used to my Asus monitor it’d be nice if you had a couple of those but I’ll deal with the CRT’s. Long as they’re no 30+inch CRT’s I’m good. Flat screen CRT’s would be preferrable to keep the game looking more in ratio with HD.
NOTE on “You did not get a trophy” messages, which Fugee brought up today:
If you’re bringing a Playstation 3 + SFIV or BB, the save on it MUST be one you yourself saved on there intially. To eliminate that stupid message that plagued Evo, your gamesave must NOT be copied from another source (e.g. friend, the Internet, wherever). So you have to go in and earn the characters one-by-one on the account on the system you’re bringing in.
We’ll post this again so people know we’ll be very unhappy to see this message, now that we all know how to prevent it. If we see it, it will result in your venue discount getting DQ’d 
since it creates game lag in match.
If anyone knows another way to stop this notification lemme know, but doing some research I think this is the only way.
Deviljin: understandable that many people play on LCDs, but there’s no way for us to make sure all the LCDs people will bring will be lag free. Plus we already have a ton of NICE tubes that play all games, as opposed to LCDs which only play HD (and even then can lag unless they’re as good as the ASUS). Daigo even clarified with us that we would run at least one tube TV for him to play on since SBO’s LCDs lagged. It sucks that SFIV has no letterbox with 480i option to keep the ratio HD players are used to.
