thing is tho,… he uses stock pads, and plays with the analog stcks. i’ve seen him play on both systems too. i dunno. my thumbs dont work that way
Yes, Wolfkrone is damn legit. Played him in few casuals. He’s serious. Since i play Gief, i use analog, but. seriously, viper? crazyyyyy. i watched his hands while playing. it’s just mind blowing. lol

Yeah I have played Wolfkrone a fair amount online. I’m not the most qualified to judge but I’ve played some of the best and I’m not surprised at all to see him shaking things up. In fact as soon as he told me he would be at SB4 I was pumped to see how he would fare against the “big name” players and I now have my answer.
I never knew I was playing a pad player though lol. Although I have no bias against pad players because i’ve seen aulord’s 360 pad Cammy melting down many of NYC’s best on multiple occasions. It’s definitely not for me but hey, whatever works lol. I think Wolfkrone started on SC and/or Tekken which could be part of it.

There are undoubtedly a lot of outstanding players out there who may seem “random” but it’s really just that “YJDK.” Not everyone lives in LA or NYC or Austin where there are many tournaments with vids being produced etc. Also, part of name recognition is being around for a while and, let’s face it, whom you run with. Now don’t get me wrong, the “name” players are well known for good reason - because they’ve produced high level tourney results, often over a period of years - and they deserve all of the respect they get as players, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t elite players who can beat a big name like LI Joe without it being a fluke.
Obviously I’m not a huge fan of the “random” concept, although I understand where it comes from and of course people must prove themselves against top competition to make any claims to greatness. But many people foster an idea that seems something like that being a top player is a super secret club that only the chosen un-randoms can join, but all of those top players were “random” shortly before they started winning. Daigo wasn’t “random” before he started stomping as a teenager… He’s fuckin Daigo… Couldn’t be “random” if he tried. He only seemed random because at the time, TJDK. But he taught em, all right.
The Beast himself was challenged by several players in the 3v3 besides Sanford, and I don’t think any of them were carrying “I have permission from the SRK peanut gallery to push/beat Daigo” cards… They just fucking did it. Almost everyone Daigo will face is “random” to him, but considering the kind of comp he gets in Japan on a daily basis, I highly doubt his mindset is anything like the e-peen types who populate the boards and think there is some sort of set heirarchy that determines who will beat whom… Ask some of the SBO participants about that.

PS. Wong’s Viper is free for Daigo. I have no idea why he used her at the end, but I doubt it’s because he actually thought he could beat him with her.
