Really fun tournament. CvS2 is broken beyond believe, so results don’t matter too much. But still, I told Justin to rank Alex higher, didn’t believe me. That kid is really good.

Oh yeah… Marvel… tightest finals in history. Teddy took me out in winner’s 3-2. In grand he took me out 1-4,4-3. Fisrt set was sent beasting, second set was sent beasting with no storm to back up the team because my storm sucks. I did make a crazy capcom comeback at some point in time though…

AND I just remembered my amtch with blank blank. I used MSCapcom and used to double commando hit. Best thing about it was that I was hitting an assist also apparently. So c.lk, c.lk, tempest, capcom hit, DHC hailstorm, capcom hit, mash. SOOOO much dmg.

So I’m coming back from Hamilton and had to drop off the latest batch of PS2 games to everyone (please contact me if you find there are any complications, I did not play test this batch).

I wasn’t sure if this tournament was going to be a go because the 1P side on the CvS2 cabinet is completely shot to hell and we shouldn’t have been using it at all, nevermind in a tournament setting. But hey… it’s for a dollar so no big thing.

CAPCOM VS SNK 2

Vs Teddy (1st Round): Teddy challenged me as long as I used the broken side and used at least one Roll Roll Flashkick. The broken side does it’s thing instantly as I hit my button but it randomly goes down not once but twice to P Groove. Wonderful… so I run Guile/Ryu/Vega because fuck if I’m going to use Kim without a roll and Teddy dominates until I make the comeback with Vega but fall short. Second match I rape him silly with Kim and Guile cleans up. Third match was the crazyness and Teddy and I go back and forth until Vega. I run him badly and then the stick holds me back in the corner. Teddy activates and then we get the “YOU CAN’T PAINT!” incident. Twice Teddy should have eaten wake up super, twice the stick fucks me, twice I get reset. GGPO.

Vs Gerjay (1st Round - Losers Bracket): I took the broken side. The game was still balanced but I lost. So much for CvS2.

MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2

Vs Roger (1st Round): His magneto raped me two games straight.

Vs James (2nd Round - Losers Bracket): I got a bye for some reason. The first game was pretty tight but I blew whatever lead I had with a stupid Row. Second game James beasted with Magneto.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Justin, you’re terrible. I didn’t metnion the handcuff incident because I figured you woulda mentioned it in the log.

Anyways, during my match with Justin we were pretty even but his kim managed to take out my Vega. His Kim had around… ummm… 30% life left I’d guess. So we start the round and I’m dive kicking as per usual, when Justin decides to do a level 2 super in the air. My character bounces to the floor and I’m stuck, mid air on my back.

Funny thing is, Justin can’t hit me during this time and time dwindles down until there is almost nothing left and Justin discovers that his air super hits me when I’m cuffed. So he does lvl 1 and I get a free character on him :stuck_out_tongue: That probably is a main reason I won that match. Justin has terrible luck.

I think I blocked it out of my memory. That had to be one of the biggest scams I have ever come across in CvS2. I wonder if the Kim Rush Super would have broken the handcuffs as well?

On a quirky side note; according to standard rules for CvS2, I should have been disqualified for using handcuffs to begin with so even if I won I should have lost. :tdown:
