Actually… the installation is a bitch I admit it. People seem to think that the game takes no skill tho. Its not really about the skill in regards to your character (it is to a degree) but it’s more about the skill and coordination and team setups. The game is really challenging =P. It’s actually very easy to suck at WoW. You’d notice that if you played the end game stuff when 1 single person fucks everything up for a group of 25 people doing something. I WANNA PLAY RIGHT NOW AHH! James I’m jealous that you do absolutely nothing but play WoW… you fuck.

i continually want to start playing wow, but a lot of things hold me back. one is the monthyl payment (the least of my worries). the other is the amount of commitment it implies, and mostly, the fact that everyone is so buff already.

It does require a lot of commitment but only if you go to that level. Every single game requires a lot of commitment if you wanna be really crazy at it. Look at all the time Magnus puts into marvel. He plays marvel 10x the amount I play WoW.
While leveling, you go at your own pace. It’s mad easy and you can play as casual as you want. The only time you get committed to it is if you want to raid all the time. Just find a guild that doesn’t raid that much (ie: my guild). We only raid about 2 night a week at the moment.
In regards to everyone else being so tough compared to you, I wouldn’t worry about that. Other people being tough is a good thing. That means you get to join them doing crazy tough shit and get free items because they already have them ;). In fact, I’d say its the best way to go. You don’t have to work for shit.
Ya the Nether Drake mounts are the fucking best. I should have mine pretty soon…
Matt I really think you should make a hunter to learn the game. They are really easy to play, one of the best classes in the game and you get a fucking pet at lvl 10. Its so easy when you’re stuck playing alone. Not to mention I think they level the fastest out of everything. If you wanna take my advice, I’d say start out as a blood elf hunter just to level a cool class in a good starting zone to learn the game.
Then just make w/e you want when/if you actually get your own account…

Im stuck about 1k for the trip all in home games. It’s so ugly.
I wont be completely broke coming back but I’m pretty sure I wont be booking a winner, I only won one coinflip, and it’s as follows:
at dinner yesterday, about 10 of us go to a nice buffet at Planet Hollywood, it wasn’t that great, but the best part was Credit Card Roulette, which is basically we put all our credit cards in a hat, and pick them off one by one, and the last one in the hat, gets the bill.
So it comes down to mine and a friend of mine named Jamie, whos already “won” twice, and was in the final two another time. They pick up the credit card, and it’s mine. Best coinflip ever

Anyways… DON’T PLAY WOW, unless you have some important responsibilities that keep you tied down, such as a job. . . If not you wind up like me, raiding 6 days a week on mandatory raids and even more on the off day since you get more items because others don’t show up. . . And then you spend 2 weeks fighting one boss over and over again and slowly progressing 1% of his hp each try, and to buy the materials for each run requires about 1-2 hours of playing OUTSIDE of raiding. And considering you’re raiding 6 hours a day minimum means you lose your soul.
The moral of the story is… go banana.
PS - Don’t get into the best guild on the server if you get into raiding, because it WILL consume your soul faster than Vegas is consuming Teddy’s bankroll.
PPS - Now that I’m hooked on Pokemon I don’t see much of a difference. I think my soul is easy to consume ever since school decided to loosen the grasp on it…
Also, we should watch transformers on Friday since there’s no ranbats (not that it mattered to anybody here. . .) considering orbit is shut down.

Honestly tho, I hate raiding and all that shit every night of the week. Gerjay I don’t know how you pulled that off. It will take Matt a while just to get to 70. By that time, he’ll get a ton of free epics no doubt as non of us won’t need anything. Hell, we’re DEing a ton of the loot already because people don’t need it.
Here is my guilds raid schedule:
Tuesday: 7:00 - 10:30
Thursday: 7:00 - 10:30
Saturday: 1:00 - 5:00
Sunday: 8:00 - 10:30
Honestly, that aint shit! Considering the fact that we don’t even raid on all the raid nights. For example, we cleared everything in Karazhan aside from the last 2 bosses in just 1 night. We’ll finish tonight and then have nothing left for the weekend.
Hardcore raiding ftl. They tried to take that out of the game in the expansion though, aren’t there no 40 man raids left?

yeah, the max is 25. you no longer need a fucking zerg guild to get anywhere. karazhan is only a 10 man, making it very possible with shitty gear and compitant players.
