It was fun but disappointing at the same time. Not a scene for PS3 pad players really. Should get some ps3’s in!
It’s your responsibility to research your scene and see what they play on (especially as a pad player). Get a converter; you will need it if you intend to keep going to tournaments and keep playing on pad. Nearly every tournament in the region has been on 360 for the last 2 years, no reason to change it now (especially since the PS3 ports of both major games have issues with either input delay or framerate consistency).
The console was listed in the original post as well.
Are you insinuating that I didn’t know that? I’m only stating my after thoughts, still doesn’t change that fact that it’s not optimized for ps3 pad players. Also, it’s weird to me because EVO was on ps3. I didn’t know every tournament was hosted on 360 exclusively.

Calm down. I was just offering an explanation as to why you don’t (and won’t) see PS3’s at Toronto area tourneys.
Agreed, Sony sponsored EVO years back with PS3s, replacing them with Xbox 360 would be too much money. In hindsight, even though the PS3 is more powerful, the simple architecture behind 360’s processor runs fighters much better and they’re cheaper to replace. There’s more on this in the tech section but I’m sure you’ve heard the 2 frame lag for SFIV and seen the slow down for MvC for PS3 once more than two characters are on screen?
MATVIII and TXII had 360’s for their main games(SSFIV & MvC). Only problem I had with MATVIII was that one station with the bad silver monitor 
Just to add in, DisgruntledGoa(t), who placed third in this tourney, uses a PS2 pad and converter, and he’s really good with it too.
I play on PS3 and don’t have a 360 stick, but thankfully, the scene is friendly enough to lend one when you need it. The last few A&C tournies were held on PS3, though.
No doubt the Disgruntled Goa held it down however I cast my vote for Japots as MVP in this tournament! He carried Team No Show all the way to 4th place. 
At the end of the day it is true that 99.9% of the tournaments in our scene are run on Xbox 360 so people will need to prepare in advance by obtaining the appropriate hardware. Many venues do offer PS3 systems during casuals for PS pad officianados.
