I’ve never liked MK as a series.
Buttons to block (and the lack of crossups that come of this), little variation between character’s movesets, pre-set autocombo mechanics, etc.
The premises which make up MK just don’t appeal to me as a player, I feel that they take considerable depth out of the game that MK could be.
That said, I also dislike SF4 for similarly making design decisions which take away from game depth in similar ways.
MB is a real man’s game.

Now I moved to Regina from Vancouver about… 2 months ago now and I’m staying here for the summer until roughly Mid-September. I was introduced to the SF4 community by “Evo” (Rickardo) when I went to Saskatoon a couple of weeks ago. He told me there are a bunch of players in SF4 in Regina and that I should introduce myself on the forums. I met him because he needed a drive to get to Edmonton for “Alberta Beatdown 2” a tournament that is this Saturday June 25th. It has Street Fighter 4, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, BlazBlue, and some other games I think…
I heard about Evo’s reputation through the Street Fighter community… and well I dunno why the fuck he has such a bad rep, but seriously that is just ridiculous… Not sure exactly what he’s done in the past… but I’m sure he can be forgiven for whatever he’s done right? I don’t see the problem with that… He’s a cool guy in person and was friendly towards me…
Well I hope to get to know the Street Fighter community better as well as learning to get better at the game as well. Of course I don’t mind playing games in SSBM or teaching people how to play as well.
