We dont have a community, Im tired of people making it seem like we have something because the simple truth is we dont. Maybe around a year ago we did have the potential of a community, but the scene here hasn’t had a gathering for quite sometime and the TTF’s have been inactive for months. Im not going to wait around on anyones so called"busy schedule"so me and V are doing something on our own. We want to build a competitive scene and if people want to help they are more then weclomed to.
1st Event Next Weekend, Saturday May 14,2011:
-5-10pm
-1 360 set-up of SSF4, can be up to 2 more set-ups (players need to bring them)
-Round robin system
-Pm V for location
-10 players max
If you come please bring your own food and clean up after yourself. Also the gatherings are meant to be competitive and friendly so no drama or IRL trolling. If you do you will be asked to leave so come and enjoy yourself and leave all the BS outside the door. Since this is our first gathering we dont have a lot of expectations, were hoping to average around 6 people initially. Also while we will just be using this 1st event to gauge the potential player base, we can host a mini tourny with a 5$ entry fee after the first few hours of casuals.
Anyone is welcomed to come, hopefully we can all work together on building this new community.
Rik you have mentioned numerous times in the last few pages that we do IN FACT have a community. At least let your bullshit have some consistancy. Also. Lackluster efforts will not be rewarded. You ditch people at the last minute. You are a misogynist sociopath. You attack other peoples personal beliefs in person. Our opinions of you will never change. Know one will ever look up to you as a player. You will never be a part of the Saskatoon fighting game community.
We have players, a community site and this thread…and thats all. 95% of the players in Sask only want to have fun with the games, and if no one is offering that then me and V will.
.
You mean I say Ill try my best to show up and then get busy and cant make it.
Says the guy whos on pills for the very thing and as for the other thing…big WTF on that lol.
Never have, Im not the one who is actually known for being rude and disrespectful in person or the one who brings up random topics during events.
You mean you and Allie…that doesnt exactly equate to the sask fighting community lol. As I said before you guys dont have to come, if other people do then they can come its a open invitation.
This is not a coup d’état against the existing community. It’s just another place for people who are more focused on improving their skill and helping people build up their skill base.
Yeah sometimes we just legit missed stuff but the lag was definitely messing with both our heads. Both of us missed option-selects, several times we tried to punish a move with something that didn’t come out, so one of us would do another punishable special move that would be blocked, which would go unpunished… lol. But it’s fun to play with you because I know that my combo misses won’t be posted on the internet in some flame war discussing my skill at the game. Plus, I think we both understand what’s up and we know when we did or didn’t deserve to win a round.
I have a bit of Juri experience locally… one of my friends plays a lot of Juri. She looks like a lot of fun and I’ve been trying to learn to play her, but she’s really hard. I think FSE is one of the most underrated ultras in the game.
I guess it was kinda inappropriate given the context of the thread.
Dustin you’re total ass. The only reason you ever beat me in ANY of our matches is because of lag. Fly to Calgary for a tournament and MM me FT5 for $50, I’ll show you what’s up. I’ll even use Hakan, like I did when I beat Air and JS Master in FT100s for $1092381209380198.
your swagger isn’t nearly abrasive enough, everybody come over to some guy nobody has ever heard from’s house so we can have a skill-building session on realtalk
your popcorn is nothing before the might of my armpit smell
my grand viper thunders out below a hundred legit pokes
my wild throw nefariously resets the cautious
something something
you’re nothing to me
We know you?re not out to replace the existing community. In fact, Dustin would probably be relieved that someone else wants to host. It?s just the fact that the person that you?re choosing to associate yourself with is going to make it end up being a play date unless he finds the fabled ?hidden playerbase.?
We have like 15 known players and outside like 2-3 people(who arent even good) the rest will show if its about games and a good time. We need to have activity and some direction shown, cause under the current management style we have nothing so show for it.
