I was gonna do a huge troll post on AB and CCG but ill wait till after CC since I hate going to these AB tournaments with everyone talking behind my back and gossiping like little bitches. However what I will do is take a picture of the final score agaisnt every opponent I beat,post it here and play some song with the word free in the chorus.
Am sure there’s zero ways this can backfire and am sure there won’t be any negative repercussions.
I was actually going to let this go but since they are talking about me in the cgy thread I figure the need to be civil and nice is pretty much null and void at this point. Ill respond here since this thread is easier to keep up:
Tyler: I dont know how your gonna deny that I didnt win the last match 2 rounds straight with more then 50% health in both rounds. You see I could have given you credit and said"ggs man"but the BS ive been reading is damn near insulting man. I dont mind someone being proud of a victory and bragging about it but dude…it was 1 tournament match and it wasnt even close in the 3rd match.
Its this kind of nonsense that really makes me wish canada cup wasnt hosted by the cgy community. Now dont get me wrong I dont wanna generalize and make it seem like every cgy guy is the same, but the core group of people from that community all give that community a bad name with this same shitty attitude. Ive been accused of a shitty attitude because for months Ive been saying that"AB is free"and have been going on about how Ive managed to beat all the top players there with relative ease. I went back on my position because I felt it was disrespectful but considering no respect is being extended to me I dont see the reason to be nice anymore.
The first thing I wanna point out is that I dont mind losing and ive never been the type to be salty over a loss. I can accept not being the best player in the world but the one thing I wont accept is when people try to negate my accomplishments in the game and pretend my victories dont exist. In the times I went out to CC events Ive essentially kick the ass out of all the so called AB killers repeatily and with very little effort, yet instead of these players saying"ggs rick"i get these condescending passive aggressive remarks made about me or I get people mentioning the few times ive lost as if that somehow invalidates my wins. Its clear these players will do anything to pretend im not a good player and downplay my wins as meaning nothing, and the simple reason as to why they do this is because they are quite simply sore losers.
All the guys who continue to spew this shit have 1 thing in comomon, they have either lost to me or are incapable of beating me. It would seem kind of silly to the average person for people to be so hostile and hold a grudge over a video game, but cleary these guys seem to put more importance on SF then I intially realized. On this point I can probably begin to understand where they are coming from and why it means so much to them when I beat them…just look at it from their perspective. Imagine you play and train for hours and hours with your friends, grinding combos,grinding footsies/spacing and reading and studying the SRK wiki like your preparing for a final exam. You level up your rank online and you and your buddies build this strong delusion that because you play a lot and know a lot about the techincal details of the game then it must mean your also a very good player. Now imagine how you would feel if you fought a guy like me who essentially picked up this game on a whim and who always fucked you ass up whenever you fought him…pretty embaressing i imagine. You take whats basically a very fragile ego and have someone like me just come along and shatter it to a million different pieces:)
My issue however is that im not concerned with the fragile egos, im concered with facts and reality. The facts and reality of the situation is that im a far better player then these core cgy dudes and better then the whole CCG scene. Some players can give me a good fight for sure, but when its all said and done I win far more then I lose. If these guys dont like it well thats not my problem, I have no power over who sucks and who doesnt. I mean technically I shouldnt even be wining as much as I do agaisnt them, I dont have the benefits of a scene and i dont practice as much as them. I dont get why dudes who have a fully developed commmunity with a organizer who spends thousands of dollars on events cant beat a guy from a small province that has no real local scene, yet for some reason they cant. Maybe that just speaks vollumes about how bad they really are in the game or how good I am at it…who knows?
At any rate the bottom line is that some egos need to be checked and some guys need to learn to be humble. On that note, doesnt anyone else think its kind of silly that the AB/tuby guys get a chance to qualify for the 5 person team when nearly all the top players from that scene lose to me badly. Like why cant it all just be MLT and toronto guys…i dont think its even open to debate who has the the better players. Its basically me>AB whenever Igo out there for tournaments yet these guys are still getting the chance to compete agaisnt on a team representing the very best canada has to offer lol. They get their ass stretched by me for free yet they somehow think they deserve the right to fight agaisnt legitimate top players…I guess being friends with the organizer has its advantages eh:)

Nope, but funny story I did beat the shit out of the 1st and 2nd place pretty badl in teams. I have won tournaments though and beaten top players, how about you mate?

Ric, the difference between you and adam is that he doesn’t act like he’s God’s gift to street fighter. You should take your own advice and check your ego at the door and be humble about your wins. I don’t recall anyone saying you weren’t good but you insist on telling the world how good you are.
It was a simple question with no malice behind it. I’m just pointing out that you want people to recognize your wins against alberta, when you really havent won anything. Sure you’ve beaten guys in pools or casuals or what have you, but I dont think you are in any position to claim that you dominate alberta.
And this isnt about me, or how good I am. I really dont care to be honest. I know what my skill level is, and I still have fun. Nice try trying to antagonize me though.

Im nothing but humble though so I dont know how I can be accused of having a ego. In tournaments or in casuals I always tell everyone"ggs"and shake their hand win or lose. Im not the one who makes backhanded comments online or makes these obvious implications and pretends they dont mean how they sound. I also never claimed to be God’s gift to SF4, I said I was aware of my limitations and that I have room to improve but at the same time im not going to accept lies or distortions either.
As for the AB thing, like Ive said before in every AB tournament ive been to ive beaten the players(both average and top) badly in both casuals and in tournament play and my only obstacle each time has been just a single player. It would be one thing if it was just a isolated incident or if I was losing to mutliple guys in both casuals and in tournaments but that isnt the case. Im breezing past 98% of the player base and my only loses are caused by the 1% everytime I head to AB…I cant sugrar coat what means just to be nice. I can be more respectful about it of course but since no one is showing me respect why should I show them?
