No one wants this kind of drama at the event, that should go without saying, but I don’t want anyone to get the impression they aren’t welcome in Calgary in November.

If you guys want to join in the tournament that’s fine and you really shouldn’t let a grudge or drama with 1 guy ruin a really good opportunity for the Canadian SF scene. It’s just that people should keep in mind that Calgary has invited top level players and we are trying to represent Canada’s SF scene as a whole. We don’t really want to represent Canada poorly but this drama is so miniscule in the grand scheme of things that I doubt it’ll effect the tournament even if people wanted to make a scene. Calgary’s got security there too so if people want to make a scene they can GTFO.
If you guys have that huge of an issue with Ric that it becomes a deterrent to entering this tournament you should just find alternate means to get to the tournament and make seperate staying accomodations. Wouldn’t be hard to do that much I would think.

damn man, this thread got intense. i been following this thread since high tech announced that one street fighter tournament last year, but never really got around to going. i guess its probably a bad time to get into the community now tho eh? lol. but on topic, yeah i dont mind paying 25$ for a tourny, but the whole 10$ for casuals is pretty messed up. hopefully something works out in the future, maybe the cove will get a ssf4 cab or something. maybe.

I went to Evo. It was great.
But anyways, at the Edmonton tournament I had the unfortunate accommodations of sharing a room with Ric. However, it was fine because I figured there were a lot of other people and I could just ignore him. He fucking followed me around, for 2 days, until I couldn’t handle it anymore. I repeatedly walked away, left the room, left the building, and he followed me, harrassing me and refusing to go away. The Edmonton guys unfortunately got to see the end result of that, when after 2 dayysss of trying to get away from him I kind of imploded
