So, most likely I won’t be able to go to SVGL this Wednesday.
I actually had to make a choice: 1) SVGL on Wednesday, or 2) SFSU Tourney on Friday.
So, i’ve decided that it’s best if I go to the tourney instead of SVGL.
I wanna get more tourney experience…
So, yeah, i’m sorryz if anyone was hoping i’d make it to SVGL on wednesday. My apology.
I was going to ask my family to drive me there, but then I thought it was best if I followed Kiba all the way out there bcuz I have NO idea how to get there lol…
I’m glad my first main, Vega, has been buffed with a useful ultra!
But I feel like ima have to extensively explore with Gen…
I can already name a few things that I believe will be great for him.
Obviously his backgrab is one of the best in the game, especially if you kara.
If my guess is correct, then his Crane style will be a lot more helpful and useful in mindgames.
He has an overhead, and an “underhead” (??), where the first hit hits low, then up.
So, if they just sped them up just a tiny bit more, then he’d be beastly.
Also, if his crane moves were to combo just a bit more, then i’d really like that.
For example, his Crane st.hk is like akumas st.hk… so if they gave him some kind of loop, i’d be happy. lol
Other than that, whatever, ima be playing Hakan!! XD
ok everyone. so i don’t know if everyone knows this, but the santa cruz boardwalk has a SF4 arcade machine, h2h, its pretty nice actually. it also has some kind of dual screen which displays info about the bw (irrelevant but still cool nonetheless.) HOWEVER, and this is BIG, the cost to playing on this cab is 1 DOLLAR per play. now, i don’t know about any of you guys, but with every other establishment charging 25 cents per play (50 cents at max), this seems like pocket robbery. Now with that said, I feel that with this machine now at the BW, theres a chance to really unite all of the sc/salinas players to come and play, but as long as this unreasonable price remains, i don’t see how any of us would want to play on it. I’m thinking of putting together a little letter for the owner of the arcade and explain to him the reasoning. With that said, his machine has the chance to generate alot of money even at 50 cents per play, but at 1 dollar, no way. It is time for the sf sc community to stand up and unite against this TRAVESTY!
edit: Now that I think about it, I wonder if if we should even go through the process of doing this, as SSF4 is coming out pretty soon. Thoughts gentlemen?
it’s a shame that they’re wasting their money and floor space on a game that no one will care about in a month. I don’t think the boardwalk would really care if we did anything because they’ve always been retarded about prices. they probably think they’re better off squeezing all the money they can out of tourists than cultivating a regular clientele.
I went down there to see for myself the new machine and they do look pretty sick. As stated, yeah $1 price is quite steep. I tried out the cabinets before all the buttons go bad (and never be replaced). Fun fun, I actually have a photo of it if anyone cares.
