Cool, new to Shoryuken.com, and new to the Bay Area, I wouldn’t mind getting into some local games, or even xbox live sparring sesh. I’m just getting into SSFIV, eating up tips and youtube vids, but wouldn’t mind learning from others around my way.
I would really like to find a local community to play with. I’m not very good, but you can’t learn how to play if all you have is inaccurate online play. Our Problem is SF has no valid Arcade or place for us to gather. SFSU has a 2 SF4 cabinets, but I don’t know if they are going to get the SSF4 hard drives when they come out. And tho only other one I know is down in the shitty Pier 39 and I don’t think any of us want to get stuck in that tourist trap.
Anyways I’m down if we can get something organized, and willing to bring my xbox if we need setups to play on.

good shit once again last time for being such a great host. Unfortunately, can’t make it this Friday… got a couple parties to be at, but don’t let that stop you from getting games on!
Looks like a lot of newcomers are starting to join SRK and/or get involved in the scene out here, which seems to be a good thing.
However, the big deal right now is finding more places to play… so I encourage anyone who has a big enough area to host sessions as possible.
And to anyone who hosts games, you know I got your back if some douchebag doesn’t know how to respect their host!

Looks like everyone’s busy with finals around this time, so maybe we can get it together next week. We’ll see if we can’t get something together soon.
I also forgot to say I have a PS2 with both the SF Anniversary Collection and the SF Alpha Collection, I only play them casually and only have one controller. But if there is any demand for 3s, SF2T, or any of the alphas on the side of some ssf4 I could bring that too, if some one else has some PS2 controllers/Sticks.

Nice. It would be nice to stick to the games being played at Evo. Whenever the second setup happens at my place, it’s gonna be playing HDR. If anyone wants to learn and develop their skills at this game, we can and should do eeeeeeeeeeet.
Sup AXC, yeah, man. I host every now and again, but only really small sessions, like 5 or 6 people. Not worth it to bring the entire Starbase crew, cuz I’d pretty much only have space for a handful… likely you’d be playing eachother…
Wolfgang says he hosts, but I don’t think he’s hosted in more than a month now. Maybe this’ll set a fire under his ass!
mayn i wish i had enough room to host…but yeah…pier 39 is out the way…RnC is kewl…(if yall wanna play SFIVanilla) tilt sucks i’m not sure if they got SSFIV on their “arcade machine”…but it might be fun to jus meet up and jus see the faces who play here in the city (the machine charges a dollar for like 3 mins or somethin)…lol anyone down for that?
I actually think thats a good idea so we can match some faces with the gamertags too. I’d be down to just meet some people, but I wouldn’t know if I’d pay to use the machines there
I’m looking forward to the day when they change the disc at Tilt, lol. But yeah, if anyone goes after 6pm on weekdays I’m usually lurking sometimes after work (in dress clothes and all). Probably the best public SFIV option in the downtown area for sure.
I definitely want to try to come out to some of the SF sessions. Change of scenery is nice.

Yo I’ll be moving to SF on July 22nd, or at least thats when I get my keys to my apartment. I will be living on irving and 3rd. Look forward to possibly playing some of you guys
