Just when we were getting the scene started with a great boost… but it looks good if Jared is down to host. I like the area already, and it’s not too far from Alex/Andry’s place where people were getting together already.
Millbrae’s cool, sorry about the spot guys I guess I got a little too hyphy with the rambling monologues out loud.
Here are the advantages of my place.
- Big HDTV that will make SF4 very pretty, secondary set available as well.
- Thick walls. We’ve had some real loud Rock Band happening here and no one’s ever said a thing. Our neighbors bust out the karaoke too and we never hear it.
- Balcony for smokers. You’d have to use your “indoor voice” while you’re out there, but really, people are used to noise. We live next to 280. Speaking of which…
- Easy access with a decent amount of parking. There’s a guest lot, upper-level garage that is barely in-use and a good amount of street parking.
- Reliable Internet access should anyone want to bring along a laptop or whatever. Wows!
Here are the negatives.
- I don’t live in San Francisco, but in Millbrae, 12 miles (or 10-15 minutes) south from SFSU, directly off 280.
- The buzzer for our door is currently out of service, so people would have to call someone inside to get in, but that could be fixed soon.
- May have to impose a guest limit. The girlfriend is totally ok with me hosting, but I may have to cap it at like, 12 people a week… which is fine because I don’t think we’ve gone above 10 yet ;o We’ll have to see how it goes the first time.
- Oh, and I don’t have many chairs. Couch + 4 chairs. So, I hope carpet is okay!
That’s all I can think of. It’d still probably be best to find someone within SF who’s willing to host since that would be a lot easier for everyone, but we also have 2 weeks to figure it out (both Rival and I will be out of town for SF Launch event).
Also, if you’re allergic, we have a dog and a cat. Dun dun dunnnnn~

If it does come down to my place, yeah, let’s keep the 9PM time. This Thursday (2/12) is a no-go, since both Rival and I will be in LA for the SF Launch event, so someone else would need to host this next week or everyone take the week off.
I’m p sure even these pets’ll be able to beat me.

Starting in early march I should finally have a studio place. I would love to host some events there. I’ll have two TVs along with 360/PS/Dreamcast. Keep mid March in mind! We’ll probably be right in the middle of SF.

if anything is goin down on thursday i can give about 4 other a ride (both there and back). just need to know where the spot is at and im familier with the milbre/burlingame area so wont be to hard to find. also gots TVC and 2 sticks if any1 is down for that

I’m extremely sorry to say this, but I’m going to have to call off the gathering at my place this week. I caught a real nasty flu while down in LA for the launch party (which I was actually warned I would catch. Good call.) and seeing as how this is only the second time in 3 days that I’ve been able to sit up straight, I don’t see myself getting better in the next few days.
So again, I’m sorry, but you guys really don’t want to come over here right now. My girlfriend has me quarantined in the bedroom while she lives out in the living room. Yes, shit is really that nasty :sad:
