I’ve been on about a two year break from the SRK scene but now that I’m back in the forums it’s good to see a few familiar names still post
For anyone who remembers me I’ve been in Chicago taking care of my Navy schooling. I’ll probably be around in SD for about a year now attending more school.
I’ll probably be resurrecting my crappy SF career with more losses as soon as Super comes out. Where does everyone play these days? I’m sure a lot has changed. Unless everyone still plays at Codys place if I remember correctly.
Someone send me a message for some games or some XBL action.

I’m happy to hear from you guys again it’s nice to be back in SD. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure since it’s been a while since I’ve picked up a stick any skill I had has probably deteriorated. But it’s always awesome to chill with you guys.

i did the X Clamp Fix and it’s worked ever since.
there are plenty of guides online and video tutorials.

basically you open your xbox, take off the heat sinks for the cpu and video cpu (which are connected with X clamps).
clean off and replace the thermal paste (same stuff as for a computer cpu), then screw the heat sinks back on with screws and washers instead (that you get from the hardware store for like 6 bucks).

then you overheat the xbox for about 2 minutes (just unplug the fans) in order to remelt the soddering (that broke because of the x clamps)
and put everything back together.

the guides will outline everything step by step.

i put my xbox mobo in the oven (covering everything in foil and a t-shirt, except graphics/cpu chips) at 322F for 10 minutes to reflow the solder under the graphics chip and then did x-clamp fix. worked fine, but i had to do it like every month

then i got lazy one time putting it in the oven without covering everything properly and blew up some of the capacitors hahaha

Go to a 3 story building and go to the the third story or rooftop (rooftop prefered). Then toss the xbox and watch it fall to the ground and shatter to peices. (Try to hit someone, itll be funny)

Then go downstairs to the smash site. Smash any other seemingly functional peices with your heals and roar out loud like the incredible hulk or chuck norris in you, uncontrollably erupted within your system.

Next, go to a gamestop and buy a ps3 (:

Contact Microsoft, my buddies 360 was beyond the warrenty date when it red ringed and they still fixed his.
You will just have to pay the shipping charge to get it there.
