It’s good to see MvC3 coming soon but, you think they’d try to fix MvC2. Long lasting Blackheart minions are ruff in a game.

my contribution, Whuddup SD! Happy Humpday! Lakers FTW!

Not looking foward to MvC3… well at least from that trailer…

Any san diego dual modders out there?
PM ME !

Rest in peace. Long live the SDFGC

I feel like a couple of bars in North Park would be willing to hold some sessions or even a tourney.

Not sure what “bars” (plural) you’re referring to, but Coin Op Game Room is the only one I know of with any FG cabs. and I don’t mean that disrepctfully or anything…if you know of others, please post them.

BUT…COGR was hosting SF2HF tourneys once a month, 2-3 years ago. That’s when they died. There was dedicated organizers. The best showing was about 20 heads. And at that showing, there was a handful of guys that had been reached via social media or word of mouth or whatever that hadn’t played the game in 20+ years. They quickly learned its not 1992 anymore and didn’t show up again.

It really comes down to someone wanting to organize it, put it on social media, encourage COGR (or other venue) to put it on their social media, and understanding that the attendees are all aging and probably have conflicting commitments more often than not. For me, it’s a 30-minute drive which may not seem like a lot but when you have a wife, kids, a mortgage, etc. there seems to alway be conflicting commitments.

Just saying, it’s not as easy as shouting from your rooftop that there’s going to be a tourney, and people will show. I encourage anybody in SD with the time and dedication to start organizing. I, for one, will show up as I can for anything SF4 and earlier.
