Great games all around, great comebacks, lots of salt and hype!

We’ll see you next week for AE! Also, stay tuned for a big update, we may be moving to a new permanent home, moving closer to our goal of having a console arcade for the gamers by the gamers.

Also, there will be no Saltmines on the 24th and the 31st of December, but we will probably hold casuals or tournament at Ryan’s house, depending on interest.

If you’re still looking for places to play this week, check out the “SD Fight Scene” group on facebook for TTF Evo RanBats tomorrow, Tekken Thursdays, Casuals on Friday, OFCSD.com for OFC Saturday, and Pauls Place on Sunday for SCR prep.

Keep leveling up SD! Thanks again for your support!

Winter break is coming up so I should be free to swing by Pangea on the 17th. Shame that Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are on a Monday, I mean, what are the odds of that?

And what is this new permanent home you’re talking about rjt?

haha xmas and newyears are always on the same day, just this year happened to be a monday T___T but i’ll probably hold some casuals either at my house or our super secret new location that we’re trying to lock down.

the new location will be a new home for sdfgc, a place where you can all come play on a regular basis and we can run events whenever we want.

basically a console arcade for the gamers by the gamers :]

wheeeeen

now.

Please read the entire post!

We are proud to announce that our new location has been secured! Next monday will be our LAST event at Pangea Bakery Cafe!

We have secured an office RIGHT behind Pangea Bakery (the address is 7969 Engineer rd., San Diego, CA 92111), and it will be OURS. Meaning we can stay later, run as many events as we like, and basically host a place to play whenever there isn’t a TTF or an OFC going on.

We will be hosting events on and off through this holiday season as we prepare for the grand re-opening in 2013.

Starting 2013, we will have Marvel Mondays and Street Fighter Thursdays, and perhaps a larger monthly Saturday tournament. The starting time will be around the same time, so stay posted. Of course casual stations will be available for AE on Marvel nights, and vice versa.

Casuals will remain free, so come out and play! But we DO need your help for a few items. If you know of a way to get these items cheap, or would be willing to donate the items or some $ to help us out, it would really help us out!

Right now we are in need of

-Tables
-Chairs
-Perhaps a bookshelf or a display case
-A refrigerator for drinks?
-Speakers
-A big TV or projector
-A router
-Posters and what not to decorate the walls with
-People who are willing to come in and open up, play and just watch the equipment in case one of us isn’t able to make it out to the office to host a casual session.

We are going to try to get a wholesale or retail license so we can buy retail games, and if you guys want to help support the venue, you can just buy your games through us.

If you guys can contribute your time, $, or items in any way, don’t hesitate to offer. Any ideas on how we can make ends meet are also welcome.

We hope to hear from you soon, and see you next Monday!!!

That’s great news, but does this mean that we can just walk in whenever we feel like playing some games or is there a set time that we can only come in, because if this is true, then this means that the anime players of San Diego have one more place in “reserve” in case any both of our regular hosts can’t host for whatever reason on Fridays.

And I wouldn’t mind donating some money.

donations are always welcome!

Also, you cannot walk in whenever, because we don’t have enough volunteers yet (we’re gathering them and setting the schedule) to keep it open during regular business hours. but for now, just message me for my number or hit me up on facebook/twitter when you need a spot, and im more than happy to come by and open it up for you, as long as one of you can be responsible for locking up when you leave!

i wont charge you to host there, but if you guys do have a bunch of people, ill leave a donation jar or something out in case they want to pitch in :]

Are your business hours already set in stone? If so, from what time can your doors open and when do they have to close? And would you happen to have pictures of the place? Just curious.

Nope have not decided
pretty much whenever people need a place to play. Also like us on Facebook for pictures and updates.

All us anime game players that used to play at frubble have just kind of been kicking it at people’s houses since Frubble closed, so if we could work something out for friday nights that’d be pretty cool. I trust everybody that goes to ours and know they aren’t gonna be rowdy or messy, and I can probably donate chairs to just keep at the venue.

sure, you guys let me know when and where, and try and get your members to support the venue. as long as i’m around or we can arrange something before hand, you will always have a place to play. :]

that being said…
