No days are good for casuals because, like ryan said, NICKEL HAS NO COMPITITION AT ALL. this place is pathetic…Golden token ATLEAST had some scrubs come every so often. This is stupid…this arcade sucks, come on guys…lets get this arcade up and going… shit…

Gas wasn’t as retarded as it is now back when nickel was the bomb place to be at. Its sunday, I think ill go up there around 7 just to play. So yea.

Gamelords (as far as competitive fighting games go) is the hottest thing in S.D. right now.
30+ on good nights. 15 on quiet nights.
Next after that would have to be Plaza Bonita Tilt. Friday nights you’ll see a good 15-16 heads there.

The problem with Nickel is that nobody really lives nearby there anymore. Nickel was really doing well when Tommy lived in Penasquitos, ShadyK and I were living in Mira Mesa and the Esco guys were still living there. So every night there would be people there and Wednesday we’d usually get 20+. These days, Nickel is like an excursion for everyone so we only really go when there’s a reason to.
Having said that, I’m there this Friday. I have to be in Pomona at 11, but these tournaments finish in more than enough time, so I’m definitely there.
Oh yeah, let me know when the Gamelords tournaments are. I’d go for those too.

every weekend there’s always a Tekken tournament.
Not this past weekend cause Gamelords was holding some kind of event or something.
But if you still play Tekken there’s usually a tournament all the time. No prize though, cause there’s no entrance fee.
