San Diego Nickel City 2004 (English Only)

too bad the blue line only goes to fashion valley ;…maybe theres a bus that can take you there

instead of going to nickel you guys should post up and go to my apt…

its closer than nickel if ur coming from south…and its better than GT since we have good sticks here and same comp as nickel neways…

either way…let us knoe before juss showin up

sounds like no nickel haha

whos going on saturday

ill be there today after work. i get off at 530 today ill be playin around 7

Bigdingding

The arcade and dreamcast are the same but imputs are different. for example, on the dreamcast, if I were to do an a groove combo, I would be using the shoulder buttons, and im accustomed to doing that, but at the arcade, its like getting used to entirely new controller. I guess the difference is when I got good at Mvc2 i did it while working at nickel, so Im used to the arcade. On the other hand, I got good at CVs2 through the dreamcast, thats why i guess. But I can still hold my own in the arcade, youve probably played my bro, and he never plays in the arcade either but hes aight so i suppose Im just as good if not better. I adapt better than him, be like water…

woot woot nickel tonight woot woot

I played someone that plays at Nickel today at Mission. Don’t know his name but he says he knows Kevin, and that’s the only person who he knows by name.

was there a tourny on saturday? and chris, how is the mission arcade? and where did they move it to.

ok im getting irritated here is there any place in sd that have cvs2 i mean i went to chula vista they didnt even have it and their mvc2 was off, anyway where is golden token and do they have cvs2 some one let me know.

Golden token is off college blvd… PM if you wanna meet up

-Maurice-

hey fuck u

time and place

come to my house i got nice bed whaaaaaaaaaaaa

cvs2 machines
golden token off college ave,
nice setup, one player on each side, sticks are ehhh. 30 cents to play. not that many people play unless someone schedules a meet or something, post in the golden token thread so everyone knows when everyone is gonna play

nickle city off carmel mountain rd,
reallly really reallllly nice sticks, and only 15cents to play but theres a 2 buck admission, if you think about it its hella worth it.
more people play here on fridays and saturdays but damn carmel mnt is fucking far if youre from down south n shit.

sdsu arcade in the aztec center
they got great sticks, usually good competition, but its 50 cents to play… ga damn you lose twice you gotta get change n shit.

hahahah chula vista is hellla ghetto…i remember they used to have a cvs2 machine but the joysticks were fuckin crooked… like they’re facing toward the screen… i dont understand why they do this its like the screen is 36 inches big already and they gotta tilt the joysticks so you can see it betteR? wtf? but anyway nickel is the best choice i think.

You are absolutely correct! And another option is MikeEboi’sAPT. if you wanna play one of the top players in cali. Which is ME! JK (genghistong)!!! So post up if you want comp either me or someone else that lives here well respond and this goes for everyone else also!!!

Alright guys, it’s official(well not official-official, but close enough), EVO2004 will be taking place July 23 - 25, same place as last year(CalPoly Pomona).

Practice up!

All 9 games from last year will return(Hyper SF II will replace ST, and GGXX# Reload “may” replace GGXX), and a new game will be included, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Also be on the lookout for a world premiere of an all new fighting game at the event. Needless to say, if you are participating or not, this tournament is one NOT to miss.

See you guys there!

Practice up in smash man, ima fuck all ya’ll up.

yeah i went to golden token it took me like an hour to get use to sitting down and playing with arcade sticks.
