Does anyone want to get some mvc2 in tomorrow? Maybe at culebra or perrin beital. I am not sure how to get there, from UTSA. I know that it is kind of far, but some help please. Thanks in advance.
I’ll get in some games if you’re down. The controllers work all right? Last i heard they were all pretty much crap in SA.
Yeah I would be I am not sure where. Last time the culebra was ok but I have been hearing things about the Perrin Beitel diversions but not sure how to get there. Some directions from UTSA would help. Also let me know where is good. Thanks
I might be able to make it if I get back from New Mexico early. If not, I’m down for some games Thursday and/or Friday. I suck at the arcade, but am hoping to get better.

I just got back from Perrin Beitel. No one was there, so I left. I am up for some games tomorrow, though. But I think I want to go to Culebra. Perrin Beitel both have good 1P controllers, but Perrin Beitel 2P controller just doesn’t work as well (at least for me).
If anyone needs directions, post up. Or if 15 people say they are going to Perrin Beitel, then I will go there instead.

Nah I’m purty much out of the loop when it comes to tournies and stuff. Guess I’m just not that much of a household name like Dr. Deelite or the Houston boys and whatnot. 
Anyway, looks like I won’t be making it. I’m already scheduled for work till 6 on Saturday and they’ll probably put me on for Sunday later this week so that’s that. I’ll be sure to request off for Showdown though.

Yeah, I was using team scrub. Turns out the only scrub there was me. I remember (world starts getting wavy and into a flashback) I was in Houston seeing the love of my life (at the time, now I hate her beyond all normal bounds, guess there is a thin line between love and hate :bluu: ) who has just moved into Houston and was attending TSU and I was also in town for a tourney over at the Stargate.
I signed up for the tourney and the brackets got made. I won my first match against someone who I don't even remember. Then my 2nd match came around. I played some guy who picked Cyclops, Dhalsim, and Ironman(in that order). I remember thinking to myself, this guy is either going to suck or hes going to wipe the floor with me. As history will now show, it proved to be the latter.
I loaded up Cable/Sent/Capcom not knowing what to expect. I decided to leave Capcom in instead of Cyclops because I wasn't expecting a rushdown. The match started and as luck would have it he rushed the living crap out of my Cable. He then proceded to knock my Cable into the air, and of all things he did, he did that damn Cyclops infinite. As I watched Cable arcing around the screen I wasn't really sure what to think. I saw the inifinite end at 37 hits. He then super jumped did a couple of kicks while I jumped back and shot a bullet off (which hit nothing). I did it again and this time he wave dashed at me and launched me up again for some more arcing only this time Cable ate it.
I tried to gather my thoughts thinking "ok.... Sents in now... maybe he won't be able to infinite him with Cyclops. He jumped in and went for a roundhouse and suddely Dr. Deelite flashed in my head for a split second as he shared some knowledge. "Sent's snapback is a good AA, use it." so when he came in with a Cyke roundhouse I used the snapback and it landed. In came Dhalsim... I really wished I hadn't done that. Dhalsin commenced an attack on Sent I had never seen before as Sent got knocked up in the air repeatedly and it was always a while before he came down. If you think Dhalsim is slow, or unplayable, then I think you're stupid (like I was at the time). Sent lasted about 20 seconds (and thats just because of his stamina).
Captain Command then came in and got bitchslapped... thats it. My team is dead... I'm in shock... I don't even want to look at my significant other and to tell you the truth I didn't want to play my 2nd match either... but I did.
To make a long story short, in the 2nd match, Capcom is now Cyke, and no snap back landed but I got my ass kicked anyway. As I walked away in shame I couldn't even raise my head to look at my then significant other... all was quiet and during the next match I quietly slipped out of the Stargate and continued on to the Galleria to forget what had happened.

After that I began playing MvC2 alot and honing my Team Scrub skills. I rarely stray from my team in casual play and I never stray from my team in Tourney's (only when I sub Cyke in for capcom on occasion.) These days however I'm retired and don't play much anymore though I got 2 rounds in with UTSU at Culebra Friday. Even if I am out of practice, as long as I remember how to AHVB and fight with Sent I am still someone to be feared (or at the very least respected). So there you have it. To sum all that up into something really short, I hate Houston because....

Either San Pedro or Culebra. All I play is MVC2 so it’s all good. And I don’t know if I met you either. I haven’t been to none of the arcades since like early last summer.
