Ok people, Kreeper and I just competed in the MvC2 SBO Qualifiers along with some of the other SF players around town over at South Park Mall Cyberzone. Just thought I’d post the results for the top 5. I won’t post last names due to some privacy issues.
1st Place: Dr. Deelite (Joe)
2nd Place:Exodus (Me) (Jason)
3rd Place: Kreeper (Ramin)
4th Place: KAOS (Jimmy)
It would seem Kreeper and I are moving up in the ranks. Maybe someday we’ll put SA on the SF map. Top 4 get to move on to a regional tourney being held in Dallas this coming April. Hope everyone wishes us luck.
What’s all this about?
It was a tournament we found out about. Apparently Cyberzone is hurting due to a drop in the DDR area of gameplay since that game has been out for years now and nothing is really changing with it. They’re gonna start trying to hold tourneys to draw in some of the SF and 3D players in the city to boost some business. This particular one was a pretty big one. About 23 people entered, and as we all saw Joe, Kreeper, KAOS, and I owned up on those people. Most of them were PS2 players who thought Gambit was the best in the game. We probably won’t be hitting the Dallas tourney but at least we got some decent prizes.

Ohhh on a side note, KAOS decided he didn’t want to play Marvel anymore after I sent him to the losers bracket the first time we played. Later on I took on Dr. Deelite and got my ass handed to me. I met KAOS again in the semi’s of the losers bracket and eliminated him. Then after that Kreeper got his ass handed to him in the Winner’s Finals, and I eliminated him in the loser’s finals leaving Dr. Deelite, and I in the tourney finals. I got my ass handed to me again and got a firm 2nd place.
