Samurai Shodown Anthology

Yes, I know. SS2 does that to people.

It must also make people go WILDLY off topic.

And I got a question to ask Mousse/MCI87(His obvious alt): http://tinypic.com/6i8nih.jpg

Next time, keep your dicksucker closed if you can’t respect other people’s games. You may find out how flawed your favorite shit is…with no Vasoline.

maybe its normal to get fucked or suck dicks for games in the US, better troll on nerd.

your the one who just doesnt seem to understand not every bitch ass motherfucker like yourself can be bothered to check shit out again and again, especially shit that they didnt like. i didnt like those ss games as they where shit in ALL aspects, hence i didnt bother with them. i sure as hell wont bother to play those games again just so i can show somebody who obviously likes eating cock why those games suck. like you suck cock, i know you like it. it just aint for everybody bitch. next time ask don tony and kevin castle to take those dicks outta your mouth when you tr to say something. it might help moron.

You have a red spot on the back of your pants.

And you still haven’t said why SS 2 is the best game.

EDIT: Imagine Mussy every time he comes into this thread…

man you as dumb as they come, talking ass cause thats where you get hit all day bitch. and after all those remarks bout why ss2 is better you still dont know? you that fucking retarded bitch? problems reading lil hoe, take the dick out your mouth. must be in front of your screen, put it in your ass and read hoe.

you looking hard for those links to joke with? sorry but i didnt watch any of that. cant be bothered by some nerd ass bitch who keeps fronting with the dicks hes got up his ass and in that bitch ass mouth of his. whipe the cum of your galsses and try to read at least. fucking retard.

Why does everything that comes out of Mussy’s mouth end with dick, balls , and ass? You only get out what you put in…

Still off topic.

I’m disappointed in Black Shroud…He was supposed to do write ups of each character in VI. If you’re still going to do it, I can help out. And I’m sure Tech wouldn’t mind either.

Actually, I am not in position to do write ups of VI characters as long as I dont have SSVI competition/competitive play to begin with. At this moment, SSVI is a game that lacks online play in any way or form; and neither do I have SSVI scene where I live. However I gathered write ups on some characters done by m216xlegendx and few other guys. I can make SSVI character sections on my forum (movelists included; same as for other samshos) so you will have where to post character-related info.

Ah ok. I figured since I play around the board on that game that I’m sure I was missing key parts of each character and wanted to know as much as possible about the game in general.

Solution: Click on the troll’s profile, on the left hand side is an option that says ‘add to ignore list’ and click on it.

He’s already in there. Thank you very much.

Yeah, V Special definitely seems hard to argue against, at any rate.

It’s a matter of preference really. Some people don’t want to accept that. V Special is my favorite like 3rd Strike is my favorite of that franchise, but some people prefer Super Turbo, some prefer Alpha 2/3, and some like the 4th game more.

There’s only two things I don’t like about V Special: The fact that you can’t tech a grab or soften it in some way. And one too many keep-away characters. Because of the mechanics of the game, it’s pretty balanced when it comes to fighting the keep-away characters, but I can still be annoyed by them. Mina is possibly the ultimate keep-away character.

I would like throw softening for one reason only, really: When both players throw on the same frame, player one always wins. This doesn’t happen very often but it’s pretty obnoxious.

Otherwise, it’s almost always in your benefit to instead aim for a backdash, D button move, jump, or tech jump move, since if they do throw and fail, they’re just standing there wide open for any punish you want. Plus, most of those moves will result in a reset situation without much damage if you get hit. That’s the stuff that wins matches.

A lot of characters also have normals that can’t be thrown at all: Kazuki/Sogetsu/Enja/Suija can just do 5C and they can’t be thrown.

I strongly disagree with Mina being a good keepaway character. If you just walk forwards mid to far screen you can react to everything she does, at closer you can play the RPS game since she takes so much damage. Much of what she does can be reacted to and in many cases punished, it’s a matter of getting used to the animations. I think she’s stronger at being on the offense because she has high damage mixups if she can make the opponent edgy enough to not sit still and block.

Sure sucks for slow movers like Gaira and Tam-Tam though.

Personally I’d put Rimururu up top for runaway, walljump/iceblock shenanigans are arrrrrrgh.

I forgot about Rimururu (aka Subzero) another annoying Loli-character, grrr.

Rera has the dumbest infinite in the world. It even locks you down on guard.

Mina is a piece of shit and is, quite possibly, the worst constructed SS character ever.

Null state was just…wrong when good players got to it.

Throw teching( Which VI has) is non-existent.

Enja glitch…

That’s everything I can think of off the top of my head. 5sp is ANYTHING but perfect. But look at what game it was trying to follow after…

How many people are able to use that Rera inf on a constant basis without hurting their fingers? How many characters have less health than Mina? Null state has no impact on balance since everyone has access to it, and everyone can be instant killed out of it. Throws are easily avoidable with dodges. Enja’s secret move was an easter egg by developers, its softbanned in competitive play, think of it as EX or better Gold characters in Guilty Gear games; yes they are there but they dont impact the balance because no one uses them competitively.

Of course you are free to tell me of a fighting game game more balanced/perfect than SS5sp

Doing that infinite isn’t that hard if you play Last Blade on a regular basis like I did at one point.

How many characters can GET to Mina? Not to mention her funny ass hitboxes up close.

Null isn’t broken…it just is better when certain characters/players get a hold of it.

But teching is just for last minute efforts to stop the grab. Dodging would be the 2nd thing that comes to my mind when trying to stop someone from grabbing me. Teching would come 3rd. It’s not game breaking though. IV should have had it more.

Enja…That doesn’t stop people from using it outside of tourneys and shit. It’s a moral issue. Some people play to win…

You just said GG…it has a reputation of being very well balanced and as close to perfection as you will get. Do I agree? 50/50. Zato/Eddie is still retarded but can be dealt with by pretty much anyone. Melty Blood AA is slowly taking it’s place as that type of game though.

In 3-D gaming we have VF 4 Evo but I don’t count that.

I can go by the same logic
"Gold characters in GG…That doesn’t stop people from using them outside of tourneys and shit. It’s a moral issue. Some people play to win…"
Then, some games also have the final bosses one can unlock to play as. Something too wont stop people from using them outside of tourneys etc etc cause they play to win.
The Last Blade 2 has Kouryu you can select on select screen…however Last Blade 2 is already broken beyond belief so I cant make an analogy with superspeed Enja.

You can’t play Kouryu on the arcade version though. Akuma in ST and Alpha 1 though…

And I can compare the character Zantetsu with the Enja speed glitch. Zantetsu has a glitch that lets him do multiple light slashes at a very high rate which, in this game, means retarded damage. Especially on Power mode. Other characters can do it too but only in Speed mode. This particular glitch creates infinites because of the random tendency to hover over a character while doing it. It’s banned in tournaments, like 50% of that game LOL! Zantetsu has many other glitches but this one takes the cake.

The point I’m trying to make is that that glitch can be abused just like the Enja shit if one party just wants to win outside of a tournament setting. It gets worse online because you can’t reach over and punch him in the face when he does it.

Its not a problem at all. First off, you can matchmake with other SS players (such as with BS’s site) and just ask them beforehand what they do. Play them and see what happens. If someone you play does that sort of stuff (and they won’t, anyway) than just drop them and play someone else. No-one is forcing you to play someone that uses Enja glitch.

That’s assuming one actually goes to that site. I’m pretty sure most SS players have no idea that it exist. If you’re randomly playing someone online on 2df or Kaillera, there’s always a chance that it will happen.
